Oh boy did it get dusty there at the end.

Perfect. They did a great job with this one.

Great episode. Loved the Dallas game, the garage sale and the proposal. Along with Michael almost being proposed to and getting her to stop.

Uh, did anyone see the spoiler previews for Michael's replacement? Is that for real?? Did I miss an announcement and associated 1000-post thread?

From an article earlier this week:

Although Steve Carell is exiting The Office a few weeks before the end of the season, producers are making sure the following episodes are just as exciting. Not only is Will Ferrell guest starring in the season’s final four episodes as a new regional manager, but Entertainment Weekly reports that both Will Arnett and Ricky Gervais have signed on to appear in the one-hour season finale on May 19.

    If
    Will Ferrell
gets chosen, that'd be an instant SP delete for me.

    My understanding is that

Will Ferrell is only appearing in four episodes.

Just chock-full of win, all the way around. The proposal had me misty, and the end tag with Jim sneaking in the fully-grown plants had me giggling.

That would be a big win for me...I love him in roles like this....looking forward to his episodes.

I would be SHOCKED if that was true. I don't see it happening personally. more likely what the spoilers above said.

Will Ferrell will not be the permanent replacement, he has a movie career to continue. I would love to see Will Arnett as the replacement and play the dickish boss. "Like the guy wearing the $3,000 suit is gonna hold the door for the guy who doesnt make that in six months, come on!"

What a fun episode. Loved Angela's garage sale table with all the cat statues. Jim's prank was a hoot. Ryan's reaction to Dwight mentioning James Franco made me laugh out loud. The proposal was beautiful and it choked me up.

One good thing with Holly and Michael leaving....maybe Toby will come back!

Really? I know he's done some lousy stuff lately, but in this role he might really revert to old form and shine.

I need to give huge props to the director as well as John Krasinski and Rainn Wilson for the "leave the telescope" moment. Framed perfectly, and acted perfectly. It was practically cinematic.

6 seconds of perfection in an already amazing episode.

    True, he'd do that well.

Not sure what's happening but the shows as of late have been great and I'm excited about what's to come.

    Magical legumes. Heh.

I liked this episode a lot. I really love Holly, and she is certainly perfect for Michael. I liked how everybody was on board with the whole thing, even if they really can't stand Michael, they were rooting for him here.

    Angela: "Will you marry me?"
    Holly: "No."
Michael: "That is hot; I would pay to see that."

And when she said "no" to Ryan: That's the only one I was worried about. :D

I thought for sure she was going to jokingly pause and give Ryan's proposal some thought. :)

The proposal proved once again that even though he's an uberdork manager, Michael Scott is the one of the best salesmen ever.

Fantastic episode. I'm glad Michael's exit appears to be that he'll be with Holly. He may be a moron, but he's a good-hearted guy and deserves her.
