Why am I not surprised that Dwight Shrute is a Trans Siberian Orchestra fan?
Someone help me out here: why did Andy and Erin break up? Moreover, did they even date in the traditional sense? Shows you how much I've been paying attention to this show over the past year or so, but I just don't remember.
I'm pretty sure they never really dated. If they did, it sure wasn't for long.
I think they had one date shortly after Andy went to her house when she was sick.
They broke up when Erin found out Andy and Angela were previously engaged. Andy never told her (Michael did) and Erin got pissed about it.
This was not a very good episode. It just seemed to be all over the place. A shame after last week's GREAT episode.
And I too LOVE Trans Siberian Orchestra!
I think they dated for real for a while. Over the summer in between seasons, Gabe basically stole her away from Andy. After she and Gabe broke up, she and Andy didn't get back together.
All over the place like.....a Christmas office party!
I loved Meredith's present to Jim, a "Vasectomies and You" pamphlet. LOL
"Hey... So there was talk of oatmeal."
I agree, it was back to the sort of typical "ah, that was almost funny" blandness that the show seems to excel at lately. And I'm really getting tired of the thing with Darryl and whatshername...
I agree that this episode wasn't anywhere close to as funny as last week's, but it had its moments. Jim and Dwight's attempts to frame each other and Kelly with the no hesitation "On it" to go after Andy's girlfriend were good.
Loved how Jim got the best of Dwight at the end by not telling him the frame game was over.
I might be childish, but I got my biggest laugh of the ep when Kelly asked Andy's date if she had just farted, and then proclaimed to the camera that that is how it's done.
Andy unwittingly sets up the best prank Jim has ever played on Dwight: Getting Dwight to prank himself! And of course, Dwight's pranks are more cruel and destructive than Jim's pranks on him would ever be.
That was the best moment in the episode! I laughed out loud and then paused to replay it. Her execution of that was perfect.
They (the producers) haven't made this very clear but the way was I understand it, they went out a couple of times and Erin got very upset when Michael spilled that Andy was engaged to Angela.
I think they essentially took a break at Erin's request and while they were "on a break", Gabe asked Andy if it was ok to ask Erin out.
Andy said yes so Gabe started to date her.
(Erin said yes because she thought she had to due to Gabe being her boss.)
The problem that Andy now has is that he can't get past that (to him) Erin choose Gabe over him.
Andy said there was a possibility that Erin and his new g/f would discuss his penis. So he and Erin dated enough for her to have been acquainted with his penis.
That doesn't actually require any dating at all.
