Glad he is gone.
Will Farrell seemed to be trying too hard.
His whole character fell flat for me. Good riddance.
Naw, he was just being Will Ferrell (which is usually terrible).
I don't think that we were supposed to like Deangelo though.
Best line in a LONG LONG time was last night.
When the new assistant came up to Dwight and he yelled at Deangelo "That he didn't want his Whore!" Laughed out loud on that one.
I agree that the trying too hard is just a Will Ferrell staple, and it rarely works.
I'm a little confused about the way this episode ended, though. According to reports, Ferrell was signed for a 4-episode arc. This was the 4th episode. But as far as we saw at the end of this episode, Deangelo just got hurt and was taken to the hospital. That doesn't automatically mean he lost his job as the manager and will never be seen again. I figured he'd do something a little more overt to make it obvious that he had to be fired.
Jim: Erin, call 911...
Erin: Whom should I say is calling?
I thought at the end that he seemed "out of it" and would be going back to the hospital and maybe not come back again. He was there in his hospital garb and such so he was not released by the hospital.
well, the juggling routine was pretty funny. loved pam's imitation. the rest...not so much. good riddance, wil.
I have to agree....this wasn't Will's finest moment..the whole character/schtick fell flat overall for me.
This episode was really disjointed feeling and not too funny...a few mild chuckles at best.
Looking forward to the other guest spots...like I mentioned before, I hope Spader takes the roll of boss for next season.
Pam doing the "no hand's" juggle was the funniest part of the show...
Agree - the rest was absolutely painful to watch. You wonder - what were they thinking in putting Will Ferrell in that role.
Big comedic star = rating to ease the Post-Michael transition.
BTW, if you missed John Krasinski on Conan last night, he did an amazing marionette impression:
It's not until 7 minutes in, but it's worth it.
I laughed at the juggling act too.....but not because of Ferrell. The look on everyone else's faces was hysterical!
I think Will Ferrell was a "palate cleanser". That is, to remind us they could have used this guy. So be happy no matter comes next, at least it's not him.
Vickers was still in his hospital gown and dragging an IV line behind him.
Obviously he snuck out of the hospital.
I meant NOT released. My fingers just skipped that word as I was typing. Fixed it.
