Great episode. Toby turning on Jim, Dwight's negotiating methods, lots of laughs tonight.

I disagree. I didn't like the Michael/Stanley storyline at all. Many episodes are uncomfortable, but this was a bit more uncomfortable than most. And Stanley was way out of character.

I enjoyed this episode. Im a big fan of Stanley's. :) He finally had enough and spoke up. We've seen him get angry like this before.

It's a shame, because I really came around to enjoy this show, but The Office is going downhill quickly. During the "testimonial" where Michael was doing the comedy routine (which started with Rodney Dangerfield), it felt like the writers needed to fill an extra minute or so of show so they just stretched the scene out.

The only saving grace of this ep was Darryl who was solid as always.

    Fluffy Fingers. :D

Other than that, this ep was horrendous.

Again... a few one-liners can't make up for a lackluster storyline. Bored to tears with this one after it seemed to get a little back on track last week.

Also, Dwight's negotiating scenes were a complete rip off from an old Ben Stiller sketch.

I kept expecting Michael to try Fluffy Fingers on Stanley.

And Pam was funny - "If you propose to me during a Michael meeting, I'm gonna say no!"

Only 2 more episodes this season. Supposed to be some major plot twists in the season finale, and a new character.

Also, next year's Super Bowl will be followed by an episode of The Office, and then the premiere of the Office Spinoff. (which we still don't know who will be featured)

    Santa...
... thats was shite ... the only things to look forward to is Ryans obvious downfall and Pam and Jim splitting up ....

... they should have stopped this season with the strike , may be having a 1 hour episode that was well written ... you could tell they are running short of new material when they borrowed the storyline of Michael dating exploits post Jan from part 1 of the UK Office xmas special/ series finale ...

I must admit the post-strike The Office has been really hit or miss. Maybe someone should tell the writers that they aren't on strike any more....

That was a great episode. Loved Dwight's car deal and Michael's breakdown in front of Stanley.

With or without the glasses, Pam is still hot.

Is Dwight some kind of dark jedi master to make people give in like that? Seemed like some of those scenes of him manipulating Andy came straight from a forgotten draft of Revenge of the Sith.

I didn't enjoy it at all. I may change my mind after a rewatch tonight when I am fully awake, but the first viewing did not impress me.

I couldn't stop laughing. That is exactly what you would expect from dwight. I thought the ep. was good not great but good. I was glad to see that toby didn't move to costa rica, he is too much.

I thought the intro was very funny...and then the beginning with Pam's glasses, and Michael's reaction...but then I was turned off by the whole Stanley uppity story-line. There was an especially odd commercial break where I was just sitting thinking, "this is not funny right now".

Overall I'd give it a B to B-. For comparison, the dinner party I thought was an A++, and last week's was a solid A.

On a side note - is the actress that plays Angela pregnant? She seemed awfully "puffy" in the face, and I was trying to see if they ever showed her from the waist down, and they didn't (IIRC).

I thought Stanley was out of character, too, but his many mentions of his wife and ex-wife with that angry tone suggests to me that he's having marital problems, hence angry Stanley at work.

I've never seen a show where opinions vary so widely. I thought the dinner party ep was great but many hated it. I thought the next couple were horrible and some found them hilarious. I thought last nights was pretty good but seem to be in the minority. :)
