Corporate, where Jan works, is in New York City. Remember the episode last year where Michael had to go to NYC for the big managers meeting (Valentine's Day episode)?

I think corporate is in NYC and Stamford is just another "branch". Remember the episode where Michael Scott went into NYC to present their branches' financial results? Josh was there as well representing the Stamford branch as were 2 other Managers (especially the even-more-incompetent/inappropriate-than-Michael-Scott Manager whose branch was closed as a result of that meeting).

Edit: Beat me by 1 minute, getbak! :)

I got a good chuckle out of that one as well. (And, from this comment and the profile, realized that I've probably known devdogaz for more than 20 years, although this could be coincidence. Edit: it was a coincidence)

I think there'll be some humor to be found in integrating everyone in, sharing desks, etc.... The guy who calls Jim Big Tuna will probably go as well.

I'm still fairly new to "The Office" so I don't know the full details of the Sranton Branch. At first, I thought the Sranton branch had jsut the warehouse (which we see, along with people that work in it ) and the office (and all the people) that we always see. But in the epsidoe with Pretzel Day, there was a TON of people in line. Lots of them dressed in office dress. None of them were people we see in the office that we know. Who are these people? They are D-M Sranton people, but aren't in the warehouse and not in the office we always see.

The Scranton office is in an office building with other companies, including Vance Refrigeration.

My take on that is that the office building has the warehouse (currently D-M Scranton people) and The Office people PLUS other companies' employees. Bob Vance is on the line and in this previous episode the warehouse people say that Vance has hired them. So it sounds like Vance Refrigeration has an office in that building as well.

Edit: Dang, keep getting beaten to the punch today!

I think it's supposed to be an office park with multiple buildings and offices within those buildings, isn't it? I got the impression that the Dunder-Mifflin warehouse was in another building altogether, in the same office park.

Andy (Ed Helms) is the guy who calls Jim "Big Tuna." He's gotta be coming to Scranton with Jim and Karen. I can only imagine that he's going to act all buddy-buddy with Jim and Dwigt will feel annoyed/threatened by him. They will do some sort of dweeb-off.

Considering that Josh has left DM for Staples and we haven't "met" anyone else from Stamford, I would guess that it will just be Karen and Andy who will be coming with Jim.

Yes, Verne Gay of Newsday has posted a review about tomorrow's episode.
It's mentioned that both Karen and Andy make it to Scranton.
It's supposed to be a good episode.

The most important thing to know about the Sranton branch is that it's actually in Scranton. Crazy, eh! What will those epsidoe writers think of next!

    :p :D

I don't think that's spoiler worthy. Anyone who's been watching the show this season should be able to figure out who's going to be transferred to the Scranton branch. It will be the only two characters in the Stamford branch that they've bothered to give any screen time to. They're not transferring people that we don't know, and they're not going to NOT transfer the people they've spent time introducing to us. Therefore, that information really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

I actually don't think it was that obvious. They did show Andy thowing a fit in the break room after they had changed their minds about which office was closing, and in the preview they only show 1 person coming back with Jim, not 2.

Sorry about that and I've fixed it. But, in all honesty, wouldn't a private message to me to correct that have been a better way to fix it than to reply and call attention to it? :)
