I just watched this last night (thanks TiVo and your time-shifting abilities!) and saw no one else made a thread for it.

Well, another funny episode that focused on the evil that are boy bands. The line that made me laugh the hardest was from the "Superfan" when she bends over, on the floor, "...And the ***** of it is... I was only two weeks away from retirement." Just sounds so odd coming from a 14-year-old girl.

And is it me or is that intellidroid cuter than Marvin from "Hitchhiker's"?

What I thought was even funnier was in the end credits: "this episode of the Middleman featured music by Varsity Fan Club."

    That's because they're a "real" band.

I haven't seen the show at all so I'm a little lost, but after looking at the above link, it's a parody of boy bands, right? :)

I have no idea. I never heard of them before this episode. I just know they essentially played themselves, plus a bit of a plot twist, and the end credit was not planted, but real. The "real" was me refusing to acknowledge any boy band is legitimate.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

The cut in the season order from 13 to 12 episodes is not a good sign. I'll be sad for a few minutes, because it's a fun little show, but it's not like they're canceling Friday Night Lights. :p

It's amazing, though, that they got a real boy band to parody themselves. But hey, any publicity is good publicity, right? Unless you're portrayed as a bunch of child pornographers.

How is it, though, that they make Natalie Morales look so hawt in the generic show promos but she's seriously deglammed in the actual episodes? When will she discover her inner Bond girl? :D

That cut in episode numbers is a shame, but I have to wonder, realistically, how many people tune in to ABC Family. It's not like a highly regarded basic cable network.

Actually, it just presented an episode that attracted 3.1 million viewers. It's not a top-shelf cable channel, like USA or FX, but it is definitely in the second tier.
