That was a great moment when Jane asked Lisbon if they were sleeping together. Until that second, I (like Lisbon) didn't realize he had lost his memory. I like when the story can catch me off guard.

I was enjoying the pre-Red John Jane. What a jerk! Him hitting on the red haired detective was amusing.

I have missed several episodes over the various seasons, so can someone tell me again, why did Red John pick Jane's family to murder. I know he was a fraudulent, arrogant psychic, but was there a direct connection between RJ and Jane?

At the time, Patrick was still a way overconfident con man psychic. He went on TV and taunted Red John calling him a fake etc. Red John doesn't take well to that, hence the episode this season where it appeared that Patrick used that knowledge to have Red John kill another killer ;)

I thought it was somewhat cruel of Lisbon to take Jane to his house, to see the room where RJ killed his family. Necessary? Perhaps. But cruel nonetheless.

Grace Van Pelt. Played by Amanda Righetti.

Jane hitting on anyone is always amusing.:)

It was a great episode, but I was a little let down by the reset-button ending.

Not me. It was interesting to see the old Jane for one episode, but that is enough for me.

I've been let down by how this season has not shown Jane doing anything to try to catch Red John. Sure, Jane used RJ to kill the SJK, but why did Jane not keep a watch on SJK to try to catch RJ? And why has Jane not done anything else about RJ all season?

I'm afraid the answer is that the writers don't know who RJ really is and how he has managed to accomplish all that he has.

Cruel but there's no doubt in my mind that present day Jane would have had no hesitation is telling Lisbon to do what she did.

We lost power in my area during this so TiVo recorded a few minutes and then nothing. This is one episode I was looking forward to watching.

It seemed like a throw-away episode to me.

I don't want them to reveal who the mother is , I mean Red John, but I do like them to push the story along.

    Ahhh The O.C.

Gave us Amanda from Nikita, Thirteen from House, Van Pelt from Mentalist and the always lovely Rachel Bilson from my dreams.

You'll also get a kick out of this:

A few episodes back (Pink Tops) featured an escort by the name of Summer played by Samaire Armstrong (Anna Stern on The O.C.). I always thought Seth should have gone for her but it would've been a Chrismukkah miracle.

oh and before we get back to Mentalist talk, daddy eyebrows was on Whitney last week. :)

Okay... episode talk: uh... was interesting seeing jerk version of Jane but will be glad when next week rolls around and the plot gets moved forward a bit.

The chick from Entourage. Forgot about her. Hope they make her a recurring char. Cho needs it.
(The O.C. casting director has an eye for 'talent'.)
