    Do you think the new Black Widow movie will have anything in the "present day", like her life flashing in front of her eyes during the fall to her death?

    Do you also think they will bring her back, or just have the new actress taking on the mantle?

    Strange looked at umpteen million possible scenarios and only one resulted in Thanos' defeat, the one in which he gave Thanos the Time Stone. That's really all we need to know. Even The Ancient One didn't question it when Bruce told her that Strange gave Thanos the stone. She knew he was the best, so he must have had a very good reason.

    As hapster said, there was one possible outcome where the Avengers defeated Thanos, and it was the outcome we saw play out in Endgame. Any other variation would not have worked.

    Why did it have to work that way? Doesn't matter.
