Looks pretty good. Is there a release date?
It says October 30th
Of course I stopped it before actually seeing that.
Looks good. But this alone is NOT going to be enough for me to reup Disney after my free trial ends in November.
You'll only need 1 month when all the eps are available.
Odd to see the live action show that anchored the service already has a second season, but all of the other promised live action content hasn't even started their first. Yes, I know, COVID, but still, why was filming for the other stuff not completed before the lockdowns, considering they've been planned for a couple of years?
Some of the live action stuff wasn’t supposed to debute till 2021 or later so there was no point in filming it early.
Very excited for this! I saw it pop up on my tv calendar for the end of the month. Since I watched it all after the fact, was surprised it was back again so soon. I guess I never realized it aired originally way back in Nov-Dec 2019. Or maybe Covid just makes that feel like 5 years ago instead of less than one.
This is the way
Well, the Mandalorian never removes his mask, so......
Because right now The Mandalorian is the cash cow. Expect a free preview just before Season 2 starts, and perhaps the first episode of S2 wide open with no sub required.
Does Disney+ have anything going for it right now except for people hanging on waiting for The Mandalorian season 2? It's kinda the only reason I still have it.
(Ability to watch most Marvel movies on a whim is nice, but not nice enough to anchor the subscription)
It's also the only reason I added it to my Hulu sub.
They have everything Star Wars & everything Marvel. But like all streaming services, they need more subs, and to get people like the poster above who said they got rid of it.
The biggest thing happening with these services in general is they're going after new subs based on the shows they provide, but people are unsubscribing when what they want to see disappears. What they really should do is instead of hinging everything on a single property, have several in the pipeline, dropping as one finishes. The Mandalorian is ending? Well don't unsubscribe because here comes Obi-Wan.
I'm hearing good things about The Right Stuff (although I don't currently subscribe to Disney+).
When my Fubo subscription ends later this month, I'll probably reup with the Disney-ESPN-Hulu bundle. Pretty much the only stuff I'm watching on Fubo is sports and Fargo (which is on Hulu).
I had no idea until this moment they had The Right Stuff coming out. I'm a HUGE fan of the film, and have mixed feelings about a series, but the trailer does look good.
My thoughts exactly. The first year of our sub was compliments of Verizon. That year is almost up. Of the entire service, The Mandalorian is the only thing that really caught our interest. Sure, the entire Disney/Pixar/Marvel/Lucas catalog is nice, but who hasn't already seen that stuff multiple times?? We will probably hang on to it because of Mando S2, and the fact that our daughter likes to play Pixar movies as background noise while she works from home.
I think I'm going to make use of the subscription and watch Season 1 again before the new one starts.
I just rewatched the S1 finale, to get ready. It's amazing how much I didn't remember.
