I saw that movie in the theater. It was so bad. Why did that Hutt sound like Truman Capote? It was distracting.

...and now I'm watching Star Wars Clone Wars on Disney+. Look what you made me do. :)

I saw the movie in theater when I was at the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle back in 2008. Pretty sure I haven't seen it since. Only thing I remember was the unique Hutt. Not that I know much about Hutts other than Jabba. Maybe Jabba is the unique one. :)

I tried, but that form of animation (that looks like older video games) really bugs me.

Well the series came out 10 years ago so “older video games” graphics isn’t too far off-the-mark. At the time the graphics were considered good. If you can get past the graphics, the writing was great though. Also it was on for 6 years, though I don’t remember if the graphics improved from year to year. I might have to go back and watch it again.

If you want great animation, you can try watching the 2003 Clone Wars series which was drawn by Genndy Tartakovsky, the same guy who made Samurai Jack. That’s not on Disney+ though.

If it had been a vase, I wouldn't have bought the double copyright-infringement shirt!

I think he (somehow?) knew that BY had escaped the clutches of the stormtroopers, and was giving himself time to work a new plan. With them pinned down, even if they "escaped", they still don't have BY.

    Agreed, that was crazy.

That show was outstanding. I didn’t know it’s not on Disney+ though. That’s lame.

Tartakovsky also created Primal, a strong contender for best new show of 2019. Highly recommended though not anything to do with Star Wars

+1 on the Tartakovsky Clone wars. It's animated wonderfully.

I liked rebels but couldn't get into the clone wars show. Maybe I'll have to give it a try again. It's nice that they're taking elements from these shows and putting them in live action shows. Dark Saber in this, the Sit wayfinder (holocron?) in RoS.

Just finished this series over the past two days

Pretty cool.. Baby Yoda is awesome. I like Mano. A good "bad guy". I liked that someone finally talked about the Jedi and their powers and how they were like Baby Yoda.

How many seasons will they drag out the search for Baby Yoda's home?

They are contractually obligated to make Cara Dune arbitrarily decide to stay on a planet 30 more times before the show is over, so at least 10 seasons.

It may not be canon, but Asajj Ventress was created for that show and later showed up in the 2009 Clone Wars so parts of it are cannon. It’s the same reason the 2009 Clone Wars is canon despite being produced prior to Disney buying Star Wars, because there are follow ups to that in Rebels, which is definitely canon.

Are none of the Legends works on Disney+? I have barely explored the service so have no idea what Star Wars stuff is on there aside from Mando

I would like a cut of the entire season that is every shot that has Baby Yoda’s face in it. That would be probably ten or fifteen minutes long and it would be my favorite movie of all time. I pretty much die every time he’s on screen.

I could take or leave any other character or event that happened this season.

I do think they need to move beyond the everyone betrays Mando story. The last three episodes all had that (he was going to be betrayed by Carl Weathers). It’s funny that earlier in the thread someone said Mando learned to trust when he’s had nothing but people betraying him.

Not everyone betrayed him. There were some that just weren't ever on his side. So no betrayal there. Kuiil (the Nick Nolte character) never betrayed him. Neither did Baby Yoda or Cara Dune. Or any other of the Mandolorians. Or IG-11 after reprogramming.

Perhaps it's not so much that he learned to trust, as that he learned how to pick better friends :)
