All around excellent episode. After mostly episodic adventures, it all comes together at the end. I think this is the first cliffhanger we've had. Also maybe the longest? Looking forward to next week.

So The Child can Force choke and Force heal. Yodalarians are a powerful species.

Seems a safe bet we haven't seen the last of IG-11.

I liked it. It solved all the problems that I had with the past three interchangeable "mission of the week" episodes.

People were assuming there would be some after-credits scene that would somehow tie into the movie coming out on Thursday. Nothing after the credits. It will be interesting to see if there's some sort of tie-in.

Loved the visual of the TIE Fighter landing. Very cool.

It was a nice one. I was hoping for IG to come out of the ship with blasters hot, but I'm sure he will be part of the 'crew' eventually anyway. Baby Yoda seems to truly have balance of the force within it. Though I'm surprised force-users' powers weren't more widely known, especially by Mandalorians, who fought the jedi before.

There was an after credit “special look” at the new movie, which is just about two minutes of footage

Footage from the upcoming movie? I'm avoiding any more of that until I can see it tomorrow night (27 hours and counting). :D

Great episode and of course sad ending for Quill (sp?).

One thing that has been bothering me. No one seems to recognize The Child. He looks like Yoda people! And they should have made a bigger deal of that healing power. Did Yoda have that? And kinda funny how protective he/she is of Mando.

It's been 25 years since the fall of the Republic. How many of these people have ever seen Yoda or knew who he was?

I would think he was a legendary figure that would be remembered for years to come.

Except in the main movies we've seen that people don't even believe the Jedi exist, much less collect Jedi Cards...

This is an issue I have with the timeline in the SW universe.

The old republic was around ~50 years ago (in universe), the Jedi and the clone wars were not secrets, hence the Force was known about.

Yet in Star Wars, the Force was considered to be an ancient religion. At that point you're only 20 years away from the fall of the Republic. That's not ancient. That's closer than Clinton's impeachment is to today.

We regularly discuss events 100s if years ago.

Was the whole Galaxy mind wiped? It just makes no sense to me.

The Empire had 25 years to rewrite history through any means necessary. With nearly all the Jedi dead, it’s not that surprising that the general public doesn’t know who Yoda is, considering most think the Jedi are a myth.

Released Weds 12/18 so as not to interfere with the opening night of Rise of Skywalker on Friday.

Hmm... and it just occurred to me, The Asset is 50 years old.
Was Yoda getting busy in his final years?

Oh yeah, and what's a "year" when you do interplanetary travel?

Aw, man. Not Kuill! He has spoken. It's kinda his own fault though, for insisting on the slow blurrgs instead of some faster means of transportation that he probably had laying around his work yard.

I expected IG-11 to come out weapons hot but I guess that's why you don't reprogram a bounty droid to being C3PO.

    Looking forward to the finale.

Yeah, I'm bummed about Quill too, I really liked his character.

My money is on a last minute save next week by IG-11. He has been programmed to 'protect' as stated by Quill. He's going to come on in to town and 'protect' all over the stormtroopers to save the group and baby Yoda.

And yes just typing out 'baby Yoda' made my internal voice go "squeeee! He is so cute!"

Do we know Kuill is, indeed, dead? Perhaps not...

Wiki -- "...seemingly kill Kuiil before taking the Child."

So there was one minor tie-in between this episode and Rise of Skywalker:

As far as I know, we had never seen Force healing in canon before the Baby Yoda-Like Creature used it in this episode. Then we see both Rey and Ben use it in the movie.
