And the knob from the ship that Grogu likes. Mando found it and put it in his pocket.
Yes, good catch!
I am fully expecting a Darksaber vs. Beskar Spear fight at some point on this week's episode. I'm just not sure if it will be Mando or Bo-Katan wielding the spear.
I think Mando could lose as there is talk of Boba Fett taking the lead next year. Trouble on the set... Pedro Pascal threatening to leave. Actually wants more "helmet off" time.
Which would mean more work for him, since from what I hear he's not the guy under the helmet a lot of the time...
They've already established that not all Mandalorians go 100% masked so it shouldn't be a hard thing to do giving Pascal more face time.
Those rumors haven't come to anything and in the past few days Pascal and others have said there's nothing to those rumors.
Yeah, I could see Mando leaving Death Watch as part of the story arc.
Then again, would anyone even notice if Pascal left?
Seems to me he's just been phoning in his performance.
And even if they were partially true, this episode could have been the "payoff"
I really can't believe that if Pedro really actually left the show in the middle of season 2, we wouldn't have heard about it.
The more prevalent rumor is he was playing hardball about not coming back for Season 3
Huh. Just read that Pascal provided voice dubbing only for several S1 episodes as he was busy shooting something else at the time. So I didn't notice it wasn't him in those episodes!
Was this show meant to be just 3 seasons? With Ahsoka, Fett, and other "book/animated canon" characters in the spotlight, it would seem Mando would fade. After he recues Gogru and Gogru becomes a padawan, what compelling plot will people want to watch? Especially with all the other shows in development.
I've been trying to get my son to watch this after he gave up after S1E3... He has a bad taste in his mouth on all of the recent Star Wars failures with the last trilogy (and I share his dis-taste)...
He feels like this show is just another Disney attempt at cashing out on the franchise... And yet another play to sell more merch...
His opinion is that the show's two main characters are nothing but literal puppets... And I have a hard time disagreeing with him!
That said, I keep telling him that despite the disney cash-play and the fact that the two main characters are puppets...it's still a well put together show!
Disney paid boatloads of money for Star Wars. Why shouldn't they be trying to make tons of money off of it? Besides, Star Wars has always been about cash and merchandising from the beginning once the first movie was a hit.
I love the fact that this show is no different in terms of effects and effort from a movie. It's really high quality.
I feel like they've earned the confidence that they can create a compelling plot. Nobody knew they wanted a yoda-species plot when this show first came out. And Grogu has already called out to a jedi so for all we know, Luke could be coming to find him and we've got seasons worth of new plot there. There's definitely no reason to think that they can't come up with something compelling, and also no reason to think the Grogu plot will end even by the end of next season.
Or hard to replace the actor and never take the helmet off again.
They'll still need a Mandalorian as the show goes forward or the title won't make sense.
