"a useless Good Will Hunting". LOL.

So everyone got a trade except Andre.

I saw the little girl putting the sacko porn DVD in as soon as they showed the giant outdoor screen.

I'm not sure I understood the trade mechanics. Wouldn't it be like some kind of escrow situation, where both sides have to agree, otherwise nothing happens?

No, they claim that Andre backed out of his deal and thus got who he wanted but didn't give up a player (to the cool dude who's name I always forget).

Correct. They've been pretty true to the rules of fantasy football but this didn't work. The trade would have been entered in the system and approved in entirety. It wouldn't have a "fell through based on one guy" type thing.

This show is hitting its stride and this episode was their best one yet. The writing has always been all over the place but this season seems to be much better thought out and planned.

I think many trades were multi-team ones but Andre backed out of a 1 for 1 trade with the everyone got what they wanted except the commish...

    Yeah, that makes sense.

I know they called it an 8-team trade but you're right, that's impossible (far as I know) and would have simply been a ton of 1 for 1 trades. And thus Andre could have backed out of his part, which could have been a stud for a scrub in this case.

    Got it. I'm good. :p

Though I personally am not finding this season quite as funny as previous ones. I liked the ones that had more subtle twists and less predictable endings.

Still like it, but not quite as much (yet) as previous years.

wow, we're on opposite ends here. Previous seasons were all over the place. More helter skelter. Almost like some sketches put together with some loose thread connecting them. This season is more "tight" for lack of a better word. It's more continuous and the people are less cartoonish and more realistic. They are even putting more meat around the characters. I think this season is a ton better so far than the first 2.

I just started watching this last season, but I'm finding this season about equal in hilarity (so far)...

I think you're right that it's a bit less frenetic. But I haven't liked the "filming a porn" thing and that's dominated these episodes -- predictable and not that funny (to me).. I think that's played out so we'll see what comes next.

    You're probably right.

I'm liking this season so far, but after just two episodes, I don't think we can say whether it's funnier or more tightly plotted than last season. For all we know, the rest of this season won't have anything to do with the stuff we've seen in these eps.

I think the fact that they skipped Ruxin's turn in the draft will be an ongoing story...

I thought the first episode was a bit funnier than this one, but this was still funny. The whole trade thing cracked me up and the abuse the commish was taking hit home (as we abuse our commish in our baseball fantasy league like that all the time!). I also saw the girl putting the porn dvd in a mile away, but it was still pretty funny.
