TiVo thinks that tonight's episode was shown (and recorded) last week so it will not be picked up by a 1P.

Not entirely TiVo's fault. TBS apparently pulled an episode.

Now I'm curious what was in it and why they pulled it. I'm glad it didn't impact the storyline of the regular characters.

According to both the previews and zap2it, it's being shown this week (S1E8,"Story Five"). Of course, TiVo has a different episode (S1E9, "Story Nine") and has it being repeated next week and no description for any of the showings.

It was reported the original story 5 contained elements too controversial to air at the time. Greg Garcia hoped it would eventually be aired but acknowledged it wouldn't be soon.
It was scheduled to air Aug. 24.
Stuff in the news at that time that could have had similar plot references in story 5 were (1) Virginia rally aftermath, so KKK/white supremacy, (2) active workplace shooter situation in South Carolina, or (3) Harvey approaching landfall in Texas. My guess is most likely references to KKK/white supremacy.

On the surface that's not controversial - a medical researcher visits the cabin with her Alzheimer's patient.
Oh..... maybe the Alzheimer's patient was a racist.

The episode that was skipped was on last night. Listed as Nine but it wasn't. Nine is on next week and TiVo sees it as a rerun for now.

Episode Five was listed as as second "Episode Nine" but it recorded for me. Upon viewing, I thought it an excellent episode but I can also see why they were afraid of it.
