That would be awesome!!
I don't know if the second part will happen at all. I was just speculating.
The bit with the bulldozers was definitely set up in this episode. No viewer knows for sure whether it actually will happen but from Ep 1 the assumption would be that it does.
Spoilers for a future episode:
There was a story in one of the British papers a few months ago about Clarkson tearing down his home to build a new one. It was noteworthy because of his celebrity, but also because the neighbors were told that demolitions would be used, and that a crew would be there filming. Hammond and May were on hand. At the time it just seemed like a quirky story about a rich guy tearing down his house to build a bigger one.
Figured I'd put this here since this thread has had more activity: I was just looking at the voices available in the Waze app and there is an option to have Clarkson, Hammond, and May deliver your GPS directions and hazard alerts. Probably a limited-time thing like all the other options they've had in the past, but I thought fans of the show would be interested in checking it out while it's available.
Ran Waze with the guys providing the voice. It was mostly May with Clarkson or Hammond piping up now and then.
I don't think that would surprise anyone that May would be the one who was patient enough to spend more time in the recording booth, while Clarkson and Hammond probably just popped in and recorded a few quick hits and took off.
I'm going to be the annoying one resurrecting threads for a while...just watched E01, and I loved it! I'm not a huge Top Gear guy, but I've seen enough to know (1) I really like the chemistry between Jeremy, Richard, and James, and (2) I like seeing cars go fast. The Grand Tour has both of those so far, so I'm good.
And for the love of all that's right, we absolutely MUST see Clarkson's house get torn down at some point.
Who is Darrell?
Well, that was a hell of a Freudian slip, wasn't it? Corrected in my post.
