I'm a little pressed for time, so I'll get the thread going with a few brief thoughts. I usually watch most episodes twice so I may have some more to say after my next viewing of this one. Really like the way the season has started off. This premise to get us to the end is really good. I'm enjoying the subtle tension that the stakes have added to everything even for us viewers. Great Jason episode. I'm a little surprised he was able to track the plan over the course of a week, although that was the genius of it: he didn't have to follow a plan, just be himself. Great cheap joke: Michael blows up the Pamcycle. Jason, dismayed: "Not again!" Eleanor's breakdown was played mostly for laughs, which I think was the right way to go, but underneath that it was quietly brutal: "I promised to take care of him!" That's really incredibly sad. The depth this show has even while telling dumb jokes is really quite something. Loved the coda of course, with the mysterious figure making his/her/its way to the Neutral Place. With most episodes ending on a cliffhanger, I was just at the point of wondering if this one wouldn't, or if one of the subjects would wander into the office just as Eleanor was pointing to them all on the board. Cut right then to the ominous portent. Great stuff.
