I'm a little pressed for time, so I'll get the thread going with a few brief thoughts. I usually watch most episodes twice so I may have some more to say after my next viewing of this one.

Really like the way the season has started off. This premise to get us to the end is really good. I'm enjoying the subtle tension that the stakes have added to everything even for us viewers.

Great Jason episode. I'm a little surprised he was able to track the plan over the course of a week, although that was the genius of it: he didn't have to follow a plan, just be himself. Great cheap joke: Michael blows up the Pamcycle. Jason, dismayed: "Not again!"

Eleanor's breakdown was played mostly for laughs, which I think was the right way to go, but underneath that it was quietly brutal: "I promised to take care of him!" That's really incredibly sad. The depth this show has even while telling dumb jokes is really quite something.

Loved the coda of course, with the mysterious figure making his/her/its way to the Neutral Place. With most episodes ending on a cliffhanger, I was just at the point of wondering if this one wouldn't, or if one of the subjects would wander into the office just as Eleanor was pointing to them all on the board. Cut right then to the ominous portent. Great stuff.

Jason throwing the rock was just like him throwing Molotov cocktails when he was alive. So awesome!

They should do a Good Place Greatest Quotes book.

In other words, a collection of all the scripts.

Nah, she doesn't have the evil stamina to last for the long haul.

I’m going to guess that it is Mindy on the hand cart.

We’ve already seen Mindy in the Medium Place this season, at her house. :)

My theory: the Janet we have seen this season is really the bad Janet in disguise as the good Janet, and that's the real good Janet on the hand cart.

That sounds like a cool story, but I don't think it really works with what we've seen so far. The bad place people don't seem strong on the subtlely and our Janet has said numerous times how she's working hard to keep everything together while we haven't seen any ill effects of that. If it was really bad Janet, I would expect some small issues to have cropped up---small enough that the writers could have us still believe that it's good Janet...

Also, Janet was very considerate in how she handled the break-up with Jason...

Yes she was. The only way to get out of there is a train and the train has to be called by Janet. Since whoever it is is on a hand cart, obviously no train. Which means no Janet. No bad place people either.

Do we know that bad place demons can only come by train? I was honestly hoping it was Trevor!

I don’t think I understand. The whole season thus far takes place in the Medium Place, where we have already seen Mindy this season as well.

Maybe it's somebody from the (real) Good Place? (I wonder if any of them have an idea what's going on the Medium Place.)

Didn't we see both good Janet and bad Janet together this season?
