Brilliant work from Carden.


Eleanor's favorite movie is John Travolta introducing "Adele Dazeem" at the Oscars.

 

janet's jason version was incredible. so excellently done or rather should I say "dope!"

 

LOVED that. Her impressions of each character were spot on. Also the actual good place! I had to see if that was the season finale but nope, we still have 3 left!

Great job on the episode and kudos to Carden.

 

Wow, I had the complete opposite reaction...Carden was not at ALL up to the challenge. She often did OK with Tahani, but for the other characters it sometimes seemed like she was just doing a really, really bad impression (Jason), and sometimes like she wasn't doing an impression at all (Eleanor and Chidi; I was glad when they changed the costumes so at least I could tell which character she was supposed to be playing).

I thought it was a wonderful idea that simply did not work. Different strokes, I guess...

 

I thought her Tahani and Jason were great. Especially Jason.

Her Chidi wasn’t terribly convincing though.

 

I thought her Jason was just generic Keanu Reeve surfer dude...didn't really feel like Jason at all. For Tahani, though, I admit she at least nailed the accent!

 

I thought her Chidi impression was quite good. She captured his tempo perfectly. Tahani and Jason were simpler/stereotype and she hit them well enough. I could not detect much of Eleanor in that impression.

Great episode, except - WHO pressed the "Good Chute button" for Michael?

 

I'm another one in the impressed-with-D'Arcy-Carden's-performance camp.

 

To be fair, Chidi and Eleanor are pretty generic. Her Tahani was perfect and her Jason was wobbly. At times perfect but at other times generic.

So, she wasn’t exactly Tatiana Maslany but she did pretty well.

 

Especially the emphasis on the word literally. Nailed it!

 

I think he could reach it.

I thought that was why he grabbed the heavy book, however I don't remember if he was still holding it in the actual good place.
