I Know Its an effort so please dont put yourself out on our account.
I get where he's going though. With so much on TV these days, it's rare that I give a show that I don't like after a half hour or so a chance. I don't have the patience to sit through a few episodes before it gets good, let alone a season or two that some shows require. I have 76 SP set up, and dozens of shows on my To Watch lists on Netflix and Amazon, plus movies saved everywhere and I watch a lot of sports. If something at least doesn't show potential. I'm out. Maybe I come back if there's enough people saying how great a show was, but usually not. In this case, I felt the show COULD be good, so I'll stick with it despite a less than stellar pilot. But if it doesn't after another couple of episodes, I'm done.
I love all 3 actresses, but we'll see where the plot goes.
I liked it enough to keep going. I had to check it out, it's filmed around the corner from my house. Although I didn't recognize the house they filmed at in the first episode.
I also liked it enough to keep watching for now. I like Hendricks and hadn't seen her since 'Another Period' (which I quit when this season started), but she had a relatively small part on that show. Once a show becomes more stupid than funny I'm usually out.
I only know Mae Whitman from when she was a child and she was definitely a great actor already. I don't think I'm familiar with the other lady.
Wasn't she from The Office?
Parks and Rec
I finished the episode and felt it finished better than it started. Seems similar to Claws which I found enjoyable here and there. The actresses (Christina Hendricks) are great and I like the the family stories. The daughter of the grocery store clerk seems pretty believable as someone who is too mature for her age because her parent is too immature for her age.
Is the sister relationship true? or just something that was said during the sexual attack from the manager?
I wanted to like it, but found it was too predictable.
We watched the pilot episode. So far so good! I'll definitely watch a few more and see where it goes.
Maybe because it's "Good Girls" and not "The Good Girls" -- I see it here:
Yes, my tivo recorded episode 2 Monday night
Blame the OP for misnaming the show then,
The Good Girls - NBC - S1 E1 - Pilot - Feb 26, 2018
Don't blame the OP. Learn how to search.
This show has managed to worm its way into my affections. The three lead actresses are all so solid and the show has just enough darkness to balance the over-the-top portions.
It's even starting to remind me a bit of Imposters, which I adore and is slated to start Season 2 shortly.
I only wish that the writing was up to the level of the 3 leads . . . .
Mine as well.
Spoilerized since this was in ep 3:
I got a good chuckle that they were shopping for party stuff at Cloud 9 (the store in the show "Superstore" in case you don't watch that show)
That was a fun surprise!
