Was looking forward to this one after watching the promos during the Olympics, but I have to say, I was a bit underwhelmed. It was OK and has potential, but it was kind of silly and cliche. First of all the girls didn't look tough enough. Second, they showed very little about their planning and how and why they thought they could pull it off. They seemed much too soft (except for Mae Witman's character) to even have a CHANCE to pull this off, especially in front of dozens of people in the big box store. I guess if you don't think about it too much, it could just turn out to be fun, but not sure yet. I think I would have liked this better if they did a season where they decided to do it, then planned it out for a few episodes and then they spent and episode doing it. It was just too rushed and I guess they just wanted to get to the drug dealer plot as the premise for the series. I'll watch a few, but not sure I'm going to stick with it, despite liking Christina Hendricks and Mae Whtiman.

I LOVED it - in fact - I watched it twice because it caught me completely off guard. Some of the one liners are crazy funny "You'd be great for porn" and I love all 3 of the female leads...

The fast paced plot worked great for me - my only question is how did the drug dealers know they are the ones who got the money?

I don't think I have seen Christina Hendricks do much of anything since MAD MEN so really nice to see her front and center. Mae Whitman annoyed the heck out of me in Parenthood but I am liking her so far. Retta is new to me but I loved her.

I swear that was Mike Farrell from MASH playing the old guy who tries to steal Retta's tip. I was also surprised to see Zach Gilford in such a minor role as Mae Whitman's ex-husband - he was so great in Friday Night Lights, I thought he was on to bigger things...

That's my biggest question. My other biggest question, how can three total amateurs get away with this? We know nothing about their gun training? We know little about their planning? We DO know at least that Mae Whitman worked there so she has SOME knowledge of the store layout. I may have missed it but did they talk about how she knew there was about $30,000? We know it turned out to be much more. I'm also a bit annoyed how a big box store (and probably a chain store) would get in cahoots with drug dealers in the first place. Hopefully a lot of these questions will be explained as we move forward.

I was surprised it was an hour show, thought it would be a 30 minute 'comedy.' And I have no idea how this can go forward for more than a week or tow.

But I enjoy the ladies and am in for a while.

    Hendricks is scary gorgeous.

I think part of that is the point - they are 3 housewives who decide to do this ridiculous thing - they are using FAKE guns. But - they did show them casing the store and checking where the security cameras were located and there is a moment where they have a handwritten layout of the store - so they did show some of the planning.

My first thought when Mae Whitman goes back to the vault with her boss was what a bad idea that was to send the person who knew him the most and who he might recognize - seeing her tramp stamp was - I don't want to say predictable - but something like that was bound to happen.

I didn't love it, but I'll give it a chance. It seemed like a network TV mashup of Breaking Bad and Desperate Housewives. (Who knows, maybe it got pitched that way.) Seems a little predictable so far.

I assume the manager was in league with the drug guys to launder the money.. And didn't he notice the tattoo on the back of one of the girls robbing the safe that also worked in his store?

Of course he did since he then leveraged the knowledge to try to have sex with her...

He may have guessed but didn't have confirmation her sister was one of the other women so that makes me wonder why they showed up at Christina Hendricks' house and not Mae Whitman's...

She was in the first season of 'Hap and Leonard' on Sundance TV. She also had a role on the show 'Tin Star' - U.K.

Was Tin Star from the UK or Canada? I know it was set in Canada, but I thought it was a Canadian produced and aired TV series.

    ep1 was ok.
Surprised this is not a ½ hr show.
What I don't understand is that going into their "one time" robbery, they all thought that $10k each was all that they needed to fix their situations (when that would only pay for 1 month of the little girls medication).

It was funny to see "Rickety Cricket" as the supervisor :)

pssst, they did get away with it...from a legal standpoint (i.e. they didn't get arrested) so they pulled it off. What they are up against is outside of the actual crime. They inadvertently stole drug money.

Did you see the twist where they wound up stealing drug money? That's where it got less predictable, although we still don't fully know the whole story (my fear is that we never will...just by the way they presented the first episode...hopefully I'm wrong).

Like I said, I wasn't thrilled with the first episode, but I think there's potential there to get interesting.

Nope. literally stopped right when the tattoo was exposed and he was looking at it. If I can write what's going to happen next it's usually not a show I like. I'll work on finishing it to see if it gets better, but it's on a short leash.
