That guy pretty much always annoyed me.
Yes! the massively annoying Adam Goldberg! I guess the only reason I thought it was him was that he was the only AG of whom I was at all familiar. Even though that guy is creepy/annoying, I have always loved The Goldbergs. Still don't really know who this AG is.
I mostly remember him from a short stint he did on 'Friends'. Even his character was creepy.
The one from the Goldbergs is a behind the camera guy. He doesn’t act. He has a total of two minor acting credits.
I saw this earlier tonight before I read this thread.
What a terrible spin off...
I think there has been a bit of a feud going on between the two Adam Goldbergs (and I think that's why THIS Adam Goldberg uses an F. in his credit). I did like the other Adam Goldberg in the Hebrew Hammer.
Don't people in the various Hollywood unions need to have unique names, or something like that? I would think that is why the F is in the name.
I have read some stuff about the feud between these 2. It seems like the non-F Adam was kind of a jerk about the whole thing. Then Adam F just makes fun of him. Probably best to just keep your mouth shut.
Yeah, there can't be two people with the same exact name in the union. I remember hearing different actors who had the same name and one had to change theirs. One example that comes to mine is Michael Keaton. His born name is actually Michael Douglas.
It used to be that they could use a middle initial which is why we had Michael J Fox but then the said that a middle initial wouldn't cut it for new members so they had to go with three names like Jonathan Taylor Thomas.
There's actually an episode that references all this.
In the episode Adam refers to another kid at school as "the other Adam Goldberg" who acts in school plays and stuff. I think show-Adam even discusses calling himself Adam F. Goldberg because of this.
Found it. It was the Karate Kid episode.
"The show starts when a school newspaper typo leaves out the “F” in Adam’s name, and everyone thinks a Karate Kid review Adam wrote was actually written by the other Adam in school. This of course doesn’t sit well with the other Adam, who has a reputation to uphold, so other Adam tells Adam that he has to change his name. "

He ends up "fighting" the other Adam Goldberg in the karate ring.
I actually remember that episode and I STILL didn't get it. D'oh!
In real life Adam Goldberg was getting pissed at people mistaking him on twitter for Adam F. Goldberg. The two of them had a minor war of words over the confusion. On the TV show, Adam F. Goldberg parodied their real life name fight in a unique way, just like the rest of his life.

It is actually mentioned often. Either in character or in narrative.
Wow, what was that? Just catching up now and glad to see the The Tim Meadows Show was not picked up.
Looks like the show will be picked up.

cool, Since I saw how dreadful it was, I won't even have to set a season pass.
Interesting. I'll probably give it a shot if it's retooled a bit. I did like this quote:
Quite a shocker, from what I saw.
The "pilot" was pretty terrible. I might give the first episode of the actual series to see they improved it, but I'm not hopeful.
