The CW changed from channel 9 to channel 50. Maybe this is why it did not record.
Yup. How many times in the last few seasons has he done something against the advice of others, saying something like:
"My guts tell me this is the right thing to do. Trust me!"
...and then the whole situation blows back in his face. And then he repeats without even thinking about the consequences of his last tirade.
Different instance of Thawne.
Then he should change his hero name from The Flash to the Cockblocker.
You and I have two very different meanings for that word.
<sigh> Another thing to be bugged about now.
Here's one.... Wally was surprised when Barry carried him at superspeed to Cisco's lab. But Wally has superspeed himself. He should have been aware of what was happening as soon as Barry snatched him.
The Flash has issues but it's still a much more fun watch than Arrow.
Where did Barry get that magical enclosure for Thawne? Also, why didn't he just kill him? Seemed like a contrived situation in order to have someone act as his adviser. What happened to those time wraiths that enjoyed hanging around? Also, what determines when changing the past is fine and when it isn't? That time he accidentally went back in time when running on water didn't seem to have any adverse effects.
Playing the same character, even. Along with Mark Hamill who reprised his Trickster role twice now.
I have DirectTv and this is exactly what happened to me. I only noticed I had missed the season opener after people started commenting here about the new episode. I have several Season Passes for the CW (formerly on channel 9) which I had to delete and reset to channel 50.
My CW channel changed too. The new one doesn't come in HD on DirecTV. Might just switch to using the CW app if they are going to keep the last 5 episodes up consistently.
I think he went back to keep his mom from being killed, grabbed Thune, then ran back to the present with Thune but in the new timeline. So the 3 months was in the present where he was grown up.
Oh... okay, that helps a little, I guess.
I couldn't figure out how an adult Barry was suddenly back with his mother after she was saved. He was a preteen then. I did not see anything about Barry speeding back to his adult timeline.
Or maybe I missed it.
When he went back in time to save his mother at the end on last season, I thought the whole Flashpoint thing would be ridiculous ... and not surprisingly, it was just as dumb as I thought it would be.
But no where near as dumb as the comic books. Somehow mrs allen surviving led to a war between Atlantis and the amazons. Or something like that.
No, it's not.
This is the Thawne who was about to kill Nora Allen when Barry stopped him.
Had Barry not gone back in time to stop him, he would have killed Nora and gotten stuck in the past, leading him down the road to Season 1.
Justice League The Flashpoint Paradox was an excellent animated movie.
it wasn't really her surviving that led to a war
it was Barry's leap into time and messing with stuff that caused problems
I believe the movie explained it as "throwing a pebble into a pond"
ripples spread out in every direction
that is why the past before her being saved was also changed
1) superman landing in a different area and being raised by the government
2) Wonder Woman never leaving the island
3) Bruce Wayne being murdered instead of his parents
all these things happened before she was saved
and yes, it was an awesome movie
DC makes horrible "real life" movies
but their animated movies are awesome
Superheroes travel in time and dimensions all the time with no ill affects.
It was dumb.
