One problem I had with Iron Fist is that when he used the fist, it was just a haymaker. All his training went out the window.

Well no, it's all his training that enables the glowy fist.

So without the training he couldn't get iron fisted?

My knowledge of the Defenders comes from the Dr. Strange, Silver Surfer, Namor, Hulk, Valkyrie, and Nighthawk days. Is it made up of the 'street level' heroes now? Also, in the comics, does the Hand have a connection to K'un L'un?

That's what I gathered from the TV Iron Fist, yes.

The latest Defenders comic (which launched just a couple of months ago) features the same characters as the TV show. And no, the comic book Hand has nothing to do with K'un-Lun.

She's not invulnerable, but she's more durable than a normal person right? She doesn't break her own bones when throwing super punches/kicks, and she was able to have sex with Luke Cage without him "holding back".

Is Iron Fist a weenie in that comic, too?

I just decided to accept that Luke Cage was being knocked around so much was because the people he was fighting were just way better at throwing their opponents off balance than he was at staying on his feet, and when Elecktra knocked him out it was because he was still under the influence of whatever drug Stick doped him with.

They even alluded to this later, when they said they had no idea how long he'd be out because of the drug.

I rewatched The Defenders over the weekend. I really liked it but had to chuckle every time Danny Rand sounded like an idiot when he told people "I'm the immortal Iron Fist".

And two years later... I rewatched the Defenders over *this* past weekend. It's a shame Netflix canceled all of its Marvel series and it's equally a shame that Disney and Marvel have no plans to continue them. I would like to see a Defenders 2.

Hell, I'd just like to see blu-rays of the rest of the shows (there were British blu-rays of the first few, but Iron Fist 1 was the last one)...

I haven't had the time to watch Punisher 2 or the last Jessica Jones. I should remedy that.

Disney and Marvel may continue them at some point, but the contractual deal that Netflix had with Marvel was that they could not use the characters for two years after Netflix stopped using them. They just can't due it now for legal reasons. It's a darn shame because the last season of Daredevil was the best one yet. The Punisher was also great, albeit intensely violent. Season 2 of Iron Fist was light years better than the first season. Danny Rand finally grew up and stopped whining about everything. Luke Cage was only so-so, IMHO, but still watchable. Jessica Jones is always binge worthy. The Defenders just seemed like is was just thrown together. They spent all that time introducing the four characters with their own series' for the purpose of putting together the 2nd tier Avengers (aka The Defenders), but I found it to be somewhat disappointing. It was also way too short. They deserved much better.

I guess I differ from most people on Jessica Jones. I liked the first season a lot. I disliked the second and third seasons a lot. I hated the Hogarth character. I agree that season 2 of Iron Fist was infinitely better than season 1. Other than the ridiculous Diamondback, I loved everything about Luke Cage.

I think 8 episodes was enough for the Defenders. None of the individual shows needed the 13 episodes they got. I agree with Netflix that 10 episodes would have been ideal for all of them.
