I think this was my favorite roast that Comedy Central has done! lol

    My favorite jokes:

Rob Lowe was in the Austin Powers movie 16 years ago. Can you believe it? Sixteen! Or as Rob calls it, 18.” – Spade

Also I love the joke that Jimmy Carr made, that they would roast Pete Davidson's dad but that happen on 9/11.:D:eek::eek::D

I love Rob Riggle's joke that the only reason Ann Coulter was there because Someone must have said her name three times. Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! :p

I'm sorry everyone was saying before the Roast that Ann took the brunt, I didn't see that i think it was spread around.

I thought it was pretty good too. At first I thought Jewel was Jennifer Lawrence!

Jewel was pretty good as was Pete Davidson. Ralph Macchio and Ann Coulter were painful to watch.

There's always someone on the Dais that gets it as much as the Roastee. And to me that was Coulter. She's pretty hateful and her stone face did not help. In fact it made the jokes even more cringe worthy. Even sweet Jewel was pretty brutal towards her.

It really did seem like the Ann Coulter Celebrity Roast, featuring Rob Lowe. And her monologue was horrendous, although even a halfway amusing one would have gotten a stony reception from that audience. I almost felt bad for her -- but then I remember some of the stuff she's written and said. But she deserves to be humiliated with facts and clever repartee, not crude sex jokes.

This was the first Comedy Central Roast I've watched in years, and it seems to me that they've gotten much less funny and much more crude. Do kids today find this funny?

I also have stopped watching these as I just find them mean and insulting and not funny. I watched a few minutes of this since there was nothing on and it seemed they spent less time on Lowe and more time on everyone else. I never remember the Friar's Club roasts or the Dean Martin Roasts of the 70s doing that so much. They did it some, but not this bad.

Some of the Payton Manning stuff were really good. They made fun of the size of his head (Zika reference) and his memory (concussion stuff).

As far as I'm concerned there's a difference between funny and mean. I never found mean spirited "humor" funny. Anybody can ridicule someone else for a laugh - it doesn't take much creativity or intelligence to do so and it borders on bullying. I get poking fun at someone during a roast, but these shows just take it much too far (for my taste).

I thought I remembered everyone was fair game at these things and while the roasters didn't necessarily attack every other roaster like they do now, in the interest of fairness the person getting roasted gets the rebuttal at end and customarily attacks every single roaster. That's why I thought it was odd Rob Lowe completely skipped Nikki Glaser. Makes me wonder if he just forgot about her and skipped it in the moment or if something weird happened and they edited it out.

There are definitely lines between clever and well crafted vs. a simple mild insult vs. just being mean and they could have used a lot more of the first category last night.

There's a ton of stuff that gets edited out of these roasts, so I'd say it's very unlikely that Rob didn't hurl an insult at Nikki Glaser, and much more likely that the joke simply wasn't that funny and ended up on the cutting room floor.

I think there's a way to poke fun at someone, even be a little mean and still be funny. Don Rickles was obviously the master at it. These people are just insulting without being funny.

Except to be really effective, they have to make it comprehensible to the average Coulter fan.

I remember the Dean Martin's Roast. Everybody got shrapnel.

Also, if you record the show after 11pm, it is uncensored. That was the case with previous ones.

I watch these every so often but I don't like all the roasting of others. Roast the main person, not everyone else. At least not to the extent they do.

Maybe I'm jaded because I don't know most of the stuff they're referring to so I don't get the jokes.

Coulter had no business being there. She was only there to plug her book. She deserved everything she got. I can't remember a colder audience reception than she got.

    Thought the show was hilarious.

    Some extremely funny jokes/moments.

Yes, lots at Coulters expense which is OK. Loved when she took the podium and would crack and joke and then the camera's would show the audience - where nobody was even smiling, let along laughing.

Spade did great and everyone, except Coulter and Macchio, were very funny.

Loved all the Ann Coulter insults

I felt that the 9/11 jokes referencing Pete Davidson's father were horrendous. But, Pete did joke himself at the Justin Bieber Roast, still it should have been off limits.

    A couple observations:

They shuffled the chairs around between every toaster so that when David Spade would take their seat, he would be sitting in a small black chair rather than on one of those bigger white chairs. I wonder if they did that because if Spade sat in one of those white chairs his feet wouldn't touch the ground.

Jewel really shouldn't be showing so much cleavage when her boob job scar is so prominent.

Ann Coulter seems like she had no idea what she was getting into since she wasn't laughing at any of the jokes.
