Some of you may remember back in May of this year we posted about my wife and I being Executive Producers for an Independent Film that was coming out soon. However we could not share with you fully the trailer nor any other details as we were still searching for the right distributor. Well….The outstanding group behind the movie has teamed up with Vertical Entertainment and are officially launching on January 25, 2019. For those of you that may remember, the date is close to the actual anniversary date of the actual disaster.
We can now share the official trailer and you can even, right now, pre-purchase the movie on iTunes so you can watch it as soon as it is available! Release date is set for January 25, 2019 in select theaters and on iTunes. We are letting you know now for two reasons. One, we are really excited to have been able to help out such a great team led by Nathan VonMinden, or as he would tell you, his wife actually. (Kind of sounds familiar doesn't it? Ha!) And Two, if you Pre-Order to watch it, it will greatly help our listing inside iTunes as the movie will show up higher in rank for upcoming movies based on interest and it will thus help us and the movie!
So you may notice a big change. It is no longer called "Angry Men". The official title is now, "The Challenger Disaster".
Please use the link below to view the trailer directly on YouTube so then you can also give it a Thumbs Up for us and comment if you so wish.
We hope you feel the same about the movie as we do. We are super excited to bring this to all of you now and are even more excited for the actual team that brought it all together as the time has finally come for all the hard work to be shown to the world!
For those of you interested in pre-ordering the movie WE REALLY APPRECIATE IT! We're hoping to break into the TOP 10 rankings on iTunes!
So please, and yes, we are groveling, pre-order it as we can't be more excited for the world to see it and learn what actually took place behind this terrible catastrophe which could have been averted!
David, I enjoy your YouTube stuff and I think it would be great to see a video about what an EP on a film does and what your experience was as an EP on this film. Any plans?

Awesome. Hopefully Blu-ray shows up for preorder soon too, but nice to see you are getting exposure in the market. Hopefully it leads to lots of orders and viewings.
I think that's a smeek as that was noted a few messages back. That said, something else I noticed as I went to make purchase from Vudu this morning is that the title is sporting a banner that says "In Theaters". If it's in theaters then congrats to all involved and hopefully it makes some waves on the big-screen and not just the screens in homes.
I sat and watched it this evening. (Also gave it 5 Star rating on Vudu)
It was very good. Hard say "enjoyable" simply because of the subject matter and the remembrance of the loss and tragedy that occurred. It was certainly fascinating to have that "in the room" feeling during the argument/discussion with the engineers.
Congrats again to all of the people involved in the film.
Glads you liked it. And yes, it is a hard watch...read DRAMA.
But the most importment part...Did you see our name at the end and our Outside Our Bubble logo. Ha!
It is really cool to think that as of yesterday a movie that we helped produce is now playing in theaters, some of which I've sat in, And is also now on iTunes, Amazon, and other streaming platforms that we use all the time. Just really weird how things have come full circle to where I've been helped to produce products for better viewing experiences, to now making something for someone to view.
I was thinking this morning that I hope that the film is a financial success and does very well on sales and rentals, but I would also really love to see this one become something that is available free in the Amazon Prime video library (as an example) where it will pick up additional exposure and help serve to educate people on the importance of listening to the experts when they tell you NOT to do something and that it is too much risk.
I'm glad that NASA did learn lessons after Challenger, but sad that years later another crew paid the ultimate price and showed to a large extent just how lucky we had been in the many previous launches, any of which may have suffered a similar fate.
Space flight is risky, but I'm glad that we do it and strive to keep exploring and learning. Doing it as safely as we can should always be key, but over time it seems that we relax in the safety area and worry too much about the financial aspects and reducing the costs.
Not sure, it is something we just wanted to "do". There is a lot of stress and we will have no idea how well it did until the qtr as the numbers are only released then. Regardless, we thought it was a great story that needed to be told. (But I still hope to make the $ back to make the movie.) There are A LOT of moving parts that I was not even aware of until this experience. But it kind of exciting.
We are so upset we did not get out to the premier in the theaters. Not one around us that it was in and I would have loves to have been with cast and crew.
As a note, at this moment I am sitting just down the street from the local school renamed for Judith Resnik.
Challenger's launch was very high profile here because she is from here, and so I was definitely watching as it happened (on CNN, I believe). And when the movie replayed the "throttle up" words, I got a chill again.
I watched this over the weekend and found it very interesting and well done.
I remember being 3 months into my first job at Kearfott Guidance & Navigation and everyone at work was gathered around a TV watching the launch. The company had a lot of electronics installed on that mission. The mood went from cheers, to disbelief, to grim in a matter of seconds. Then, a couple of months later the company lost 5 of it's key program managers in a plane crash in Dallas. It was not a very good start to the year at all.
I did look for and notice your names listed at the end, and saw the Outside Our Bubble graphic. I didn't know it was yours at the time, but found it very impressive.
Congrats.

Thank you kindly. Yes, OutsideOurBubble.com is my wife and I and our way of helping other RV'ers. They messed up the logo with the white background. It was sent to them transparent. Oh well.
Yes, you can look at it that way. I found it the day it came out. But in all reality, even though I would like to think of it that way, all movies and TV shows seem to show up.
Yeah, I don’t have vudu or iTunes on my tv, others might be similar, so I thought it worth mentioning.
