NBC Reduces The Cape Episode Order

10 episodes instead of 13.

Dumped it. Just didn't care about watching it.

 

"The Cape" order cut from 13 episodes to 10. They are wrapping production on #10 right now, so it's effectively an immediate production halt.

I really loved the first two hours.

I watched the next one and it was OK. The 4th hour I got a little more than halfway through it but never finished and I don't really care to. The 5th hour is recorded.
I'm probably just going to delete them and the season pass.

The real big question here is: Are they going to wrap the show up in this last episode. My guess would be No since this announcement is coming as they are finishing the last ep.
What's the point of watching the remaining 5 eps if Fleming is never going to be outed as Chess and Vince never gets to go back to his family.

 

Perhaps I'll give up on it now.

 

I never liked it much, but wanted to give it a chance. But I could only force my way partway through the train episode (a recurring theme here, I see) before I realized life is just too dang short for this crap.

Have we "all" given up? I don't know. Have I given up? Yes.

 

I have to say that this week got me a bit more interested in the Tracy/Dice back story and some of the ideas they started to put forth, but it doesn't make up for last weeks Scales stinker. I also liked where they're starting to go with Chess, but it took them too damn long to get here.

While they may be starting to find their way, it's still been a disappointment

 

I don't think The Cape is all that bad. It definitely isn't good but could become good with some tweaking over time but it seems time is the one thing it definitely won't get.

 

Is there any word about The Cape airing the final episode?

 

Online only. Check Hulu or the NBC web site. We have four saved episodes and probably won't bother to watch them.

 

By NBC and Hulu (and iTunes) blocking Canadians from viewing video content (other than advertisements) we are forced to rely on bit torrents ... thereby perpetuating their rationale for blocking Canadians' (accusations of illegal downloads) access to their video content.

 

I think I only watched the first episode. Looked like the series equivalent of The Spirit. Potential, but no substance.

I see some of the remarks on here about people having high hopes but then having to give up and I'm reminded of how hard up we are for decent shows. Probably the reason that we watch things like this and Stargate Universe. If we had something worth watching, these shows would never make it past the cutting room floor.

 

I thought the last two episodes they aired were really good. Finally good enough to really recommend to people they watch the show. I thought they finally hit their mark.
But by then it was already cancled, and they did have some bad ones in there as well. biggest hole was that nobody who knew him when he was alive recognized his voice or chin, even when he was with them for hours. Haven't watched the on line episode yet.

 

I was right, that was the last that I saw of the show. I had a couple more episodes recorded before I deleted them and the SP.

 

On "The Lich part 2", Orwell's name was revealed as Julie (IIRC) in her hallucination/dream. She realized she was in a dream because she hadn't told Vince/The Cape about it.

Yet after the fight at the end, The Cape said something like "I have to go get Julie".

How did he know her name?


Also, in one ep (I forget if it was this one or Razer), they said the one guy "didn't blink".. yet he blinked RIGHT AFTER THEY SAID THAT, when they first went to his face.. and a whole bunch of other times.
