I think Homelander hurt Stormfront, but not fatally or permanently. Who’s to say she won’t recover?

My take was that the kid is stronger than the father. Homelander really seemed to bear down on her and barely did any damage (maybe singed her) whereas the kid burnt entire limbs away and left her a jibbering mess.

IMHO Stormfront isn’t dead. Edgar’s probably got her locked away somewhere.

And if The Female can come back in seconds from having her neck snapped, then...

idk. Resurrection seems to be an unusual power.

But yeah, if I were Butcher and knew about Kimiko's abilities, I would have cut off Stormfront's head or something...

Well, she is upwards of 100 years old, and she clearly healed up from getting laser blasted by Homelander. So, clearly something is going on with her ability to heal and age.

All I’m saying is that if you don’t see someone die in a show/movie, perhaps they’re not quite dead yet. She’s a supe, so her odds of still sticking around are increased in my book.

(BTW not a comic reader, so I have no idea about anything)

Stormfront was a guy in the comics, so I'm not sure how much you could read into anything...

There's an article on Gamespot which interprets the finale as saying that the head-exploder was on Vought's side. I'm not sure I agree---at the very least, it's unclear.

Yeah, I'm with you...seems to me she's on her own side, and neither Vought nor Mallory & the Boys are going to be very happy when they realize there's another side out there.

Interestingly, it seems to a degree the show is now where the comic began, with The Boys as an off-the-books CIA-funded black ops outfit.

According to a German guy elsewhere on the internet, this is what Stormfront says in German as she's lying mutilated: "Do you remember the day, Frederik? Chloe reached her arms out of the car window. We found the perfect spot in the shadow beneath an apple tree. It was the first time that Chloe had a fresh apple. It was a perfect day. I never wanted it to stop." Repeated over and over.

Maybe I wasn't watching closely enough. I knew she was running for some office and I vaguely remember seeing her a few times, but I never once considered that she might be a supe.

There was never an indication that she was a supe (that was the twist), but she was certainly a fairly prominent character.

Well, right before Raynor's head exploded, she said "It's Vought....it's a f***ing coup from the inside."
The very next scene is Stan Edgar watching Congresswoman Neuman on TV.

It seemed to me that Homelander wasn't expending his full effort on Stormfront with his Laser Vision.
(No visible signs of him straining.)
Plus Stormfront has some type of healing factor.

Ryan was under severe emotional distress (adrenaline) when he cut loose on Stormfront plus we don't know how much energy he had stored up (assuming he and Dad store energy like the more recent interpretations of Superman).

I picked up that she was repeating something but since I don't speak German, I had no idea what it was.

I don't think that Edgar is in cahoots with Congresswoman Neuman.
He's made it plain that his objective is to increase the stock value and selling a lot more Compound V would do that.

Neuman (at least outwardly) would be thwarting that end.
The big question is what is her true agenda?

I guess we have to wait for Season 3 to find out.

LA Times article: 'The Boys' season finale even had its villain cheering. Here's how they did it

Best photo caption in there: "Stormfront (Aya Cash) has a comeuppance she did Nazi coming."

Best production nugget: Aya Cash says "I memorized a whole monologue in German — this much of it made it in."

Best news all day: An "as-yet-untitled spinoff will take place at a school for superheroes. But X-Men, it ain’t."

Yeah, that was a Timeless reunion. And one of the marketing guys was "Rufus". Were there others?

Shantel VanSanten, who played Becca, had a small role in the first episode of Timeless as a journalist who was on the Hindenburg.

Jim Beaver, who played the Defense Secretary in The Boys (and who is better known for playing Bobby Singer in Supernatural), had a small role as a NSA Agent in an episode of Timeless.

The guy who plays Black Noir also had a tiny role in a Timeless episode.

And wow---Victoria Neumann is played by the same actress who played Jiya in Timeless --- she was Rufus's love interest and backup pilot. I didn't recognize her at all...

(Eric Kripke, the showrunner for The Boys also created both Timeless and Supernatural)

The one who I didn't recognize is Homelander himself (who was the lead in Banshee). And even knowing who he is, it's hard to see.

I recognized all of the regulars (Jiya, Rufus, Flynn) right away but it was done kinda gradually. Never watched Supernatural but I assumed there were lots of those around as well.
