Somebody had to.
I'm not a comic book aficionado, so please cut me a little slack, but it crossed my mind while watching the opening Man-Bat/Batman discussion - these guys are real comic book fans, correct?
Is that 'bin' that they search through all the time where the new comic books go for sale? It looks more to me like a 'bargain bin', and I can't imagine any of them finding anything in there that they would be interested in, especially if Stuart is holding out any good stuff for behind-the-counter sale.
Just one thing that's kind of bothered me over the years watching. It makes for a GREAT setting for how the show uses it, though!
At the comic book store I used to go to that kind of bin had every comic in it. Not just bargains.
As for what they find, there are 80 years of comics. Do you assume they have read them all?
Yeah, most shops keep all their back issues except for the really expensive, behind-the-counter stuff, in bins like that (or in longboxes lined up on a table).
And, if you go every week like they do (on wednesdays) you will also have your own "box" set up with your favorites, so when new issues come out the comic store person will slide them right in there and it will be ready for you. The boxes they stand over to talk are old comics where the owner may have added or changed something because of collections he may have purchased or inventory changes.
Now that would have been funnier......
This episode was ok, But we also watch them in reruns and it does seem like the writers are phoning it in somewhat this season.
This sums it up for me. It is like they all drank jerk-juice.
Except may be Stuart.
I liked all the Man Bat Man talk.
And the line of the night for me was Stuart.
"The closest I ever came to dating two women was that time I dated one woman."
See, why we all liked the Man Bat Man talk is because we have all DONE it. Sat around and discussed stuff like that.
And yes, that was a great line. I would love to date Stuart....heck he has his own comic store...how cool is that!!
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
I suspect owning your own comic book store is (or can be) a lot cooler now than it was back when I had friends who owned comic book stores...
Some of the comic book stores I've been in lately remind me more of yuppie fern bars than old-school comic book stores. (And yes, "yuppie fern bars" probably dates me!)
You're dating a fern?
TCF is getting really weird...
Not as weird as dating a yuppie.
I've been told that epi-pens have a specific dosage, so even if Sheldon had one, he wouldn't let Howard use it. (Though it'd be safer than not using it.)
But we don't know that he didn't have one and use it during the transition between scenes. Even if he had, it's still generally recommended to go to the hospital afterwards.
