Yeah, that wouldn't be suspicious!
Do FBI agents blurt out to their new neighbors that they work for the FBI and what kind of cases they are working during the first 'cup of sugar' meeting before they even know anything about them? I was scratching my head when he let the cat out of the bag. Plus it ruined a nice storyline where neither knew what either one really did.
It seems this would be something shared on a need to know bases.
Years back, we had a mysterious neighbor that would come or go out of town. I talked him casually over the fence now and then and borrowed this in that from him (being a first time home owner). I could never pinpoint where he worked, somehow he would always skillfully dodge the question.
To this day we think CIA, FBI, or witness protection. Could have just been a very private sales guy though.
I think the real undercover CIA agents would proudly talk about their cover job ala "True Lies," although I guess most of Valerie Plame's neighbors knew she had a hush-hush job.
"I work for the Department. of Agriculture. Milk prices will be going up even more."
Most people who work for the FBI or CIA don't do so covertly. My mom had a friend whose son worked for the CIA in D.C. He could tell whoever he wanted that he was CIA. He just couldn't discuss the work they were doing.
FBI agent = Police Officer but at a Federal level. This guy seems proud about his profession, as long as he's not discussing details about cases I see no reason why it's out of place for him to announce what he does for a living.
I realize you're saying this partly in jest, but it wasn't a warm summer evening. Both men were wearing coats, and it was cold enough that you could see their breath when they were talking.
That's a warm summer evening in D.C.
(Full disclosure - the year I lived there was apparently the coldest year there in over 100 years.)
I haven't watched this yet, but I have (2 or 3?) eps taking up precious HD space on my DVR. Is it worth it?
I don't want to get involved in another ill-fated series again.
1) It's great. Watch it.
2) It's already been picked up for another season. Watch it.
2) +1 I didn't know that.
It was announced yesterday.
FX is having a marathon of The Americans so the poor non-DVR non-VoD souls can catch up.
people are still posting about this show, but are they still watching? Last week's show has no thread. Nor does this week's show.
Is everyone behind? Waiting for it to get picked up for more episodes before starting to watch?
I'm up to date.. I think it's good, but I don't need to comment on every episode of every show I watch.. Just most of them.
I haven't watched this week's episode. I probably will tonight.
I don't care enough about the show to start threads. If somebody started one for last week, I'd probably say something.
and people wonder why some of us think season long threads a good thing in some cases.
I'm two behind because I was on vacation last week and haven't caught up yet. But I really liked the first two eps.
I haven't seen any new episodes in my On Demand.
They show the episodes on their website also. I just run HDMI from laptop to TV (I am OTA only).
I'm behind because my wife is visiting her parents for 2 weeks, and she hates it when I watch stuff she likes without her. Even though she often falls asleep within 20m or so
