Oh, no, I liked Team Fun!

A good season--at this point, I'm only not liking the Grrranimals. And what a beautiful city of canals in the Netherlands!

i'm with you, most of the teams I don't like are gone. I always liked Team Fun, but in this case, i guess they did it to themselves by not checking the eggs. Afghanimals are the only team I don't like. Not that they aren't good players, but that they are too smug. Something went wrong with my DVR and I missed the last few minutes (caught up in time to see Team Fun get eliminated). How did the Afghanimlas get out of the muck? Or was that really just for dramatic purposes going into a commercial break?

After they made such a fuss about Nik and Vik's eggs, and Team Fun didn't even look at theirs, I knew they were done. The team that won (don't remember their names) are so nice and very good, but I hate them. No reason at all, I just can't bring myself to like them. Oh well.

I was very happy to see Team Fun gone over Nic and Vic. I hope the Afghanimals are out next. I'd like to see Nic and Vic make it to the finals, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for them.

Who would have thought 15 years ago that someone would be describing Colin and Christie that way. :D

I thought it was lame that they didn't actually make them clear the water with the pole vault thing. Just had to get in the air a bit and that was good enough. Maybe the challenge was too tough and they just let almost anything pass?

I didn't care for Becca so not sorry to see them leave. She was a bit of a dick to the guy who wouldn't take the cracked egg. Not his fault you didn't think to check the eggs after slamming them into bank.

I liked Nichole and Victor in BB but they have gotten on my nerves. I hope they are next to go. I would be fine with any of the remaining teams winning.

We didn't watch Amazing Race back then. She seems really chill and just gets things done. I can see how he was probably very high strung in the past though.

Looks like they had to book their own flights again, but no drama this time since there was an "hours of operation" equalizer. It was cool to see them biking all over the countryside and I loved the switchback to the ditch vaulting, although they didn't call it a switchback.

I wonder how close Team Fun would have been if they hadn't had to go back and get more eggs. In an exit interview, they said they finished 15 minutes behind Nic and Vic.

I was glad to see the correct placement of the U-Turn board return.

I've been a fan of Colin and Christie since they were on in S5, so I'm definitely rooting for them to win.

You should definitely seek out S5 after having watched them on this season. They were by far and away the best team in that season, but Colin had some major anger management issues. They were lots of fun to watch. I think they are a big part of the reason the race really transitioned away from presenting itself as one big race rather than a series of individual races that end with the mat at the end of each leg. There was a point in S5 where Colin and Christie built up almost a 24-hour lead but then had to sit there and wait for an "hours-of-operation" equalizer in order to get them back onto the same leg as the rest of the teams.

Was a shame to see Team Fun go out... again on a leg with a lot of biking! Of the teams left, the Afghanimals are my least favourite, just because they seem a little cruel. I mean, they're hilarious to watch so that's good, but I did find myself hoping their engine troubles would take them out in this last leg, and thinking it would serve them right.

I do like Nic and Vic and I would like to see them at the end, but mostly so that it's not all AR finalists. However, I suspect Nic is not quite strong enough to get them there. I like her just fine, and she has a good attitude in general, but she's a weaker racer than any of the others left, IMO. Sometimes physically weaker players make up for it with great people skills, or good perception (finding less obvious clues etc.), or good directional skills, but I don't think she's stronger in any of those areas. She does help Vic keep his head on straight, sometimes, but other times she's the one freaking out so...

Still, you never know. There's a lot of chance-factor in any given leg...

Yeah, I'd go back and see if you can find that season. They did play a brief clip of his iconic "MY OX IS BROKEN!" moment from S5 earlier this season. :) He has changed a lot.

Back on S5, they were still one of the "dating couple trying to figure out if they should be together forever so let's go on TAR" variety of teams. To be honest, I figured they probably wouldn't stick together. :)

Can I just say how happy it makes me to watch this show? Hoisting cows, pole vaulting ditches, incredibly gorgeous scenery, mostly enjoyable contestants .... what's not to love?

Dutchman: Hey, guys, are you idiots or something like that?
Korey: I don't mean to be (in cheerful, apologetic voice)

After having Rachel talk so much about breaking the total number of legs record a few weeks ago, I wonder if Leo & Jamal will even mention the fact that they'll break Rachel's record on the next leg?

Also, up until now, Rachel and Brendon are the only team to have made it to the final three on two separate races. That will change next week as either Tyler & Korey or Colin & Christie (or both --- probably both) will make their second trip to a final three.

Did anyone else think that that boat was going to come lose after they showed Nic closeup tie the knot and say that she had to tie it tight? I thought for sure while crossing the lake it was going to float away.

How did Vic and Nicole know to uturn team fun? Can they see who has already gone past?

Historically, no, since I remember at least once where someone U-turned a team that had already gone past it.
