Did Ron go to a lot of restaurants and be hungry all the time during their first race a few seasons ago? I don't remember that about him. Now, being lost and stubbern, that I remember.

Thank you for that info! That is what I figured the answer was...it was just an interesting thing to be seeing on TV.

Yes. I recall him talking about food and asking to stop and eat the first time as well.

Which is why I've always wished they'd have a timestamp on all their shots or at least present a timestamp every few minutes, so viewers could get a better sense of how long everything takes and how far behind people are.
Wasn't there a beer drinking task in Germany and Ron wanted to stay and finish his beer even after the task was complete?

Edit: I guess that was someone else. Season 12 didn't got to Germany.

That was Gus M(a?)cloud. He raced with his daughter, Hera I think. Nice guy, had his plane at my airport for a while.

Thanks. I knew it was a father daughter team, but didn't think it was that long ago (S6).

I don't know what they have to go through before these particular places, but I know what I went through before I did an Amazon cruise, and I can certainly sympathize with the human pincushion feeling. Getting up to date for that cruise was brutal: Hep A and B shots (both of which were multiple shots spaced out), updated tetanus shot, pneumonia vaccine (recommendation changed that year for people with asthma to get it even if not over 65), flu shot, and yellow fever shot. I think my count was about 11 shots over a couple of months.

Probably don't do it so that the ending "race" to the mat is more dramatic.

Too bad they can't show that later though.

I didn't care to be in Naples Italy. I really didn't have a choice, being in the US Navy. The only good thing about Naples was the train service, so you could get the hell out of Naples.

I enjoyed the cows stealing some of the hay in the crowded alleys.

    Chicago-ish...
They should do a second/alternate pop-up-video-like version with times on them.

Didn't Ron try eating something he was actually making in a challenge? :D

Just off the top of my head: Portugal, Lithuania, Poland, Chile, Austria, Belgium, South Africa, Bermuda, the Bahamas, Jamaica, Costa Rica, Belize, Greece, Ireland, Northern Ireland, parts of Canada (Montreal, Prince Edward Island), Honduras, those little islands off the coast of Canada that are still French (boy, that'd throw them off!).

    Austria - Seasons 3, 4, 14
    South Africa - Seasons 1, 2, 7

    Greece - Season 9
    Ireland - Season 12

Yes, that's what I was remembering...remembering Christina trying to stop him from "eating on the fly"! Heh.

I thought the Candy Incident was from TAR12, but it was actually earlier this season.

    St. Pierre et Miquelon, IIRC.
