Wow, that's quite a mountain you made from a little molehill.

If one of the girl teams wins, I might not remember their names next year. Still, that's no reason for me not to root for them now.

Most of us want one of the female teams to win just because we like them more than Jill and Thomas. Simple as that.

    What Maui and heySkippy said.

I know the race makes a big deal about it - Phil even mentioned it in his mat speech to both all-female teams - but I just like them better than Jill and Thomas.

There have been other all-female teams that I had no desire to see win.

I don't refer to them as one of the female teams. I want either the doctor team or home shopping team to win. They are interesting. The other team is boring.

Nobody cares about the first female winner of the Apprentice, because there's no disadvantage to being a female on the Apprentice.

There's certainly a slight disadvantage for a pair of women on AR, since in general, a 2 guy team is going to run faster than a two girl team.

I'd say there was a lot more than a slight disadvantage for the women. In 17 seasons, every single winning team has included a man.

Many of the tasks, esp. the detour choices, require a lot of strength -- carrying heavy things over long distances, upper body strength for some climbing task, etc. We've seen many times that there are some tasks which are virtually impossible for most of the female racers, and these are some strong, athletic women for the most part.

I think it's the greater strength that helps men more than greater speed or endurance. Rarely does it come down to a footrace, although sometimes that happens. But a male-female team is only as fast as the slower person and many m/f teams have won. Sometimes he's carrying her bag though (Zack always carried Flo's bag), so she can run faster. So they win because of his strength more than speed.

    Men are better in business.
