The previews show them in my home town. My wife and I both said, "Hey, that's our bridge!"

I don't know why but Jill and Thomas keep falling off my radar. I don't feel they were highlighted much throughout the show so far and wonder if that's a clue as to where they might finish. Just wondering.

I always wonder that, too. I could be wrong, but I think the post-race interview might have been her first close-up last night.

FYI, they give it away on the Elimination Station video too, so if you don't want to be spoiled, don't watch.

That's my thought as well. They have really manipulated the departure times to ensure (or prevent) airport bunch ups. I'm fairly certain that if Nick and Vicki had actually completed the previous leg, the producers would have manipulated the departure times so that all teams got on the same flight. But once Nick and Vicki took the penalty, I'm sure the producers realized that fans would be up in arms about the penalty being wiped out by a bunch up, so they manipulated the times to make it seem that they had a chance, but to ensure that they would be quite a ways behind.

In fact, the flights in this episode really make me wonder how much the producers interfere with the race. The first team left the pit stop at about 4:30 pm. From downtown HK to the airport is no more than an hour, perhaps even less if they take the high-speed train. So the first team should have arrived at the airport by 6 pm and the third team by 7 pm. What are the chances that there were no flights from HK to Seoul between 7 pm and midnight, but then there was one at 0:25? I'm guessing that the producers basically mandated that they all get on the 12:25 flight, and manipulated the departure time of the third team to make it seem like Nick and Vicki might have a chance to catch up.

Edit: I may be wrong on this. I just did a search to find flights from HKG to ICN and there are only a handful of non-stops with the latest leaving before 5:00 p.m. There are several possibilities of connecting through other cities, but none that leave after 7 pm and arrive before 6 am. Of course, the schedules were probably different in the summer vs. today, but the fact that there are very few non-stops from Hong Kong to Seoul is pretty surprising to me. Maybe it's simply not a very common route.

Taking a quick peek at Kayak - Last non-stop flight of the day looks to leave around 4:40 and then the next one is 12:20am

I'm guessing they didn't keep the soldiers out there doing martial arts for 8 hrs. waiting for the "stragglers." Serves them right for quitting and also shows why the "bunch ups" in earlier episodes are necessary. You can't tie up the road block and detour people for too long.

Is everyone assuming the "big announcement" about the next TAR is that it will be filmed in HD? That'd be my guess.

I hope they change up the final leg a bit. It seems to always be that they fly to the U.S., do a challenge involving remembering everything that happened on the trip and then zooming to the pit stop. At this point, they all know to memorize everything so it isn't very exciting.

I assumed that the announcement was going to be about the next season being "all stars" of teams from past seasons.

So in the previous leg, Nick couldn't spend another 15 minutes, half hour, two hours, or whatever looking for the boat. Then it this leg he wastes a day and a half of his life going through the motions when it's clear they have no chance in getting caught up. I am a bit surprised he didn't just demand to be taken to Elimination Station at the start of the leg.

Looks to me like Claire's got reddish brown hair..

As for the airplanes, way too many times, people say "I want the plane leaving soonest to <WHEREVER>".. instead of asking for the soonest ARRIVAL. Yes, once in a while, people have asked for the soonest arrival, and they've gotten ahead by doing that (I think one team took connecting flights instead of a nonstop flight to get somewhere faster).

Just like learning to make fire (pre-show) is job #1 on Survivor, teams need to learn this for this show.

It does have some red in it, but it's more brown to me, which qualifies as brunette in my book.

No of Brooke when she was a Miss Oregon. Much better fit being blonde with her personality. For a long time she annoyed the hell out of me but I've gotten used to her goofy spazz antics and now I think it's kinda cute. Her socks on this leg were awesome, Brooke is like a real-life anime character. Claire balances her out nicely, two Brookes would go off the rails, so they are a good team.

It's not that Brook has grown on me, but, well, she's grown on me :D

She needs to dial it down about 50%, but I'm used to it now, and Claire is by far my favorite racer on any team of those left, so, Brook and Claire for the win, with the Docs a close second.

Thomas and Jill? Nah. I don't hate 'em (and Jill would be the first winner with local roots, she is from this area originally), but Thomas annoys me on occasion.

So, I'll be happy with either of the all-female teams, and not so happy with Thomas and Jill, but won't be throwing stuff at the TV if they win.

Holy cow. I didn't recognize her. And I had no idea that she was Miss Oregon.

Claire is my favorite racer, too.
