It's a tad awkward, but it works. They could have used his name, but we don't know him. They could have said "her husband" but that doesn't sound any better than "his father."

That is so yesterday. Now, the latest on the bandwagon have their iWii iCode on their iPhones.

ObTopic: I didn't particular like the ministers. Just too slow and non-competitive. I do like the teams that appear to be having fun. Hippies last year, and the "Hippies" this year. What makes them hippies? Being from SoCal?

I actually thought it quite confusing that someone who believes in an all powerful God would actually think that God doesn't care about an event in one's life. I think this comes from the "humanizing" of God, which is pretty natural considering that's all we can relate to. People have limited capabilities and can only focus on a limited number of things. Therefore we assume that why should God care about the Amazing Race when there are so many more important things going on. But if you believe in an all-powerful God, which it appeared that the ministers believe in (albeit one that changes his mind-inside joke), then it struck me as contridictory to assume that God doesn't care if you win the amazing race.

Now I agree it's better than being annoying and saying that you're going to win the race because you believe in God and everyone else is going straight to hell.

you can believe in all-powerful God who lets life go on with minimal to no "interference"...those things are not mutually exclusive and actually quite common when you mix an intellectual with religious belief...

I think it's the long "unclean" looking hair. I was wondering why this season's team was being referred to as the hippies myself.

Sorry. I can't cut Ronald the same slack. I was in a verbally abusive relationship for years and I can spot an abuser in 5 seconds. There's nothing loving in letting her make the decisions. It's all about collecting it's-your-fault ammunition.

Tipping the bike and her falling out was her fault, of course. Not being able to assign it to anything other than his own ineptitude, he immediately attacks her weight as the problem.

Unfortuantely for her, you can divorce a husband but not a father.

Waaaay off topic, but I was wondering if anyone else had seen the banner add on this site for the Presto device, and recognized the elderly couple:

Long time no see! They look good!

+1 and well said. This is the point I was trying to make but I think I complicated my statement.

My friend, does the phrase "rhetorical question designed to provoke a laugh" mean anything to you? ;)

Actually, I think that site is filtered on my computer, under the "Keep User From Losing His Lunch" section.
