So we finally get a glimpse of the main story arc. And we are given an idea on who the bad guys are (I know it's not that simple). But I really want to mention something that really bothers me about this show so far (and maybe I'm sensitive to this topic). So we have this "utopia" on Earth. The chance to start new and do things right. And what form of government do they have? - A dictator who rules over ALL. With the military to back him up. - He is both judge and jury. - He has no problem with torture. - He has no problem killing those who oppose his views. - He either bribes, intimidates, or both to cover up his actions. - He has no problem planting evidence against innocent people who might expose him*. - He is appointed for life, it seems. There is no voting. People should do their job and just be happy. - He speaks to the masses as the father figure who is tough but with a kind heart (every press secretary of a dictator's wet dream, basically). That sounds awesome, doesn't it? Utopia my butt. * How did he know what evidence to plant BEFORE the scientist told him about the frequency and that he fixed the dragonfly? Is it continuity error or did he already know all these facts and is "in" on the conspiracy?
