There haven't been any threads on this show in a few weeks. This show has been growing on me. They have cut down on a lot of the "adult" scenes (but not completely) and gotten more into the story.

This show is one of the most accurate portrayals of some of the issues that can be encountered in the various stages of marriage that I have seen.

I think Tivo payed for product placement. The one couple is always using the Tivo. Then the wife in the semi-middle aged couple gave her husband a Tivo, and its the most excited you see him in the whole episode.

It's growing on me too. I've been through the fertility issue and they nailed it so well it was scary. At one point my wife said, "pause it, I need to go to the bathroom" and I said, "it's like we're pausing a video we shot of ourselves".

Maybe because I can relate to it I find it more interesting. It was a sucky part of life to be sure, but now that it's passed I feel better knowing the experience is pretty universal. We ended up adopting. :)

I actually like this show a lot. I like how each couple have their ow crap to deal with. There's no such thing as happiness in marriage I guess.

I think that the show captures how marriage is a lot of work and there is a lot of crap and awkward moments. But it is the sometimes rare happy moments that make it all worthwhile.
