Advertisements Hello all. I have an original TCD746500 (746) Series 4 Premiere. The Tivo just keeps rebooting and is beyond loud...almost grinding. I don't care about any of the shows. The unit has Lifetime, and I called Tivo. They want $200 to replace the box and then $300 to buy lifetime on that. I could buy a brand new OTA for that. If possible I'd like to just replace the drive, as don't need for much other than connecting to Netflix/Amazon and using for OTA. Is it even worth it these days? I have no clue on what drive to use or the steps. At one point I swear people used to say you could toss in any drive new and Tivo on bootup just essentially formatted the drive and put its software on and away you go. Guessing that is not the case today. Any help is appreciated.
