I'm not sure what to make of SG:U. Sometimes it is really good. Other times, fast forward through the show and watch the commercials just to stay awake.

When you find yourself fascinated with dead animal bones for hours on end, you'll want to back off on that philosophy just a little.

I wouldn't miss Santuary. The wife likes it however so I'll watch it because of that and that it's genre TV. SGU is the surprise hit for us, especially since an annoying cast member is out of the picture. (For a short time at least)

Yeah, but Lost Room was really good. 13 is good enough, I like the crazy eye woman.

That's the way I am, I even stayed with Andromeda to the very end.
I just couldn't keep going with Sanctuary though. They must really have nothing in the pipeline to give it another season.

    Daniel Jackson likes it!

(Which only goes to show, this show is even clumsy when it comes to in-jokes...)

It's much more like Friday the 13th: The Series than Lost Room. Lost Room would have made a cool series, but they probably couldn't afford Julianna Margulies. Whatever she's making on The Good Wife is likely far more than a niche cable show could support.

That's exactly what I told my wife when the show first started. She insisted it would be scary, but I explained that Friday the 13th the series wasn't about recreating the movie.

One difference is that in Friday all the items were lost at some point. With 13 few of the items have gone missing from the warehouse, most are just floating around waiting to be snagged.

I started watching both with great hopes ... gave up on SGU when the body-sharing got upfront and personal with the Young/Telford/wife mess.

Sanctuary ... I tried, really I did. I didn't throw a brick thru the tv when they killed off Watson (though I love the actor), though I thought keeping him as a recurring character would have opened a lot of plot possibilities. Then they did the same thing with Shanks, and ... that's it. I'm done.

    Well, obviously you do! :p

Flash Gordon was a little like "Dollhouse" and "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" in that it actually got a lot better right before it finished. Some of the first Flash Gordon episodes were horrible, but I was amazingly enough disappointed when it ended...

Well, Just finished the premiere episode of Warehouse 13 and I liked it. Artie is a little on the goofy side but I think that the two leads have great chemistry.

T:SCC was great the whole way through as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, I liked that show too.
Chakotay and Janeway discover a Stargate on a remote planet and finally have a way back to Earth. Problem is they have no clue how to dial the thing! :D

Add me to the "Disappointed Flash Gordon wasn't renewed" bucket. It had more than its share of tremendously bad episodes but it got pretty good at the end. Its handful of good episodes were light years better than anything I've seen out of Sanctuary so far.

I wanted Flash Gordon to be good. But it wasn't. It really needed to take place more "out there" than here on earth. Flash Gordon was never about flash battling evil dudes in a supermarket or mall, but about him taking the fight to them in their own backyard. :)

Sanctuary will stay on as long as they have a million viewers since it's one of the cheapest shows there is to produce. Everything can be shot with a blue or green screen so how can they loose.
It takes my mind off the evening news. And thats good enough for me.
