I have a Hughes HDVR2 and the harddrive has gone bad, I also have a directtv plus r15-100, i hate the new direct tv tivos and i want to continue using my hughes box, how do i take the harddrive from the direct tv box and put it into the other box? or can i at all? they are both Maxtor harddrives one is 40 g's and the other is 160 or 140 or something.

That works ok as long as you can reimage the drive with the software for the Hughes unit.
