Russell already found it long before John received the clue.

sigh...why do people do this? you scratch and claw 4 against 8...you make brilliant moves...you're finally one vote away from total domination and a 100% shot at the final 4...

    and you outsmart yourselves...

Foa Foa will now start the same disintegration that we've witnessed from the galu tribe for the past few weeks...they will get full of themselves and will try to make the "smart" moves too early...Galu will regain supremacy...

Except that the final three are not GAlu, so it might be a bit tough for that to happen. Mick, Nat and Russ. Guessing, not spoiling. :D

    Chicago-ish...
This season is just brilliant. Brilliant.

And I know the auctions last longer than we see and we don't see everything... but seriously, why the hell wouldn't you scream $500 as soon as you learn it's an advantage for the immunity challenge? I was REALLY surprised Russell didn't vote on that one (unless by editing we missed that he did get something and had no money, but I doubt he would waste money on food). As Russell would say: They're all idiots.

I thought Jaison's question (I think it was him) about 2 people bidding 500.00 was pretty dumb. If one player bids 500.00 you have to beat him not tie him, since your cap is 500.00 you can't beat him.

Yeah...I was wondering if at first he was trying to goad someone into bidding all of their money, and ended up talking himself into it along the way.

Agreed. Use it as soon as you've got two spots to move up. You'll be holding up less weight the entire time rather than just right at the end when your hands/arms are already tired.
Agreed. I said the same thing. He should have at least made it look like he didn't have it yet. But given how relentless he has been in looking for it, and how he hasn't been looking for it lately, they should all be pretty sure that he already found it. Not sure why Russell thought it was so damaging that John knew he had it.
I was very pleased with Mick when the cheeseburger came up and he immediately said $500. That's exactly how it should be done. See something you want, buy it. Don't take the chance that someone else will get it. And that's especially true since they've changed the rules that you can't pool your money with other people and share the prize.

I thought the same thing. The chicken must have turned out just fine, otherwise there would have been an even larger spat between Shambo and Dave about the ruined meal, and we can be sure that the producers would have shown us that drama. Or would they?

Survivor, like politics in general, follows very simple rules: Minorities block vote because they have to. Majorities have the luxury to split, look for "more perfect" scenarios, etc.

Right now you have 3 Galu, 3 Foa Foa, Shambo, and Russell. The 3 Foa Foa and Shambo have a lock to the final 5 if they don't bolt. While the 3 Foa Foa could go to Shambo and blindside Russell, there is no percentage in doing so...whether the 3 have to "trust" Shambo to take them to the final 4 or "trust" Russell into taking them to the final 4, either way they have to trust someone to get them to the final 4. While Russell is a snake on edited camera snippets, to the Foa Foa he has been nothing but trustworthy. Russell is, however, PARANOID. As soon as he thinks someone is on to him, he votes them out. I therefore predict the following for the rest of the run:
At the next 2 votes, - 2 Galu are voted off, leaving 1 Galu, 3 Foa Foa, Shambo, Russell.
After that, I predict either because the 1 Galu wins immunity or Russell gets paranoid, he will convince 1 Foa Foa to join him, Shambo, and the Galu survivor into voting off a Foa Foa. That will leave 1 Galu, 2 Foa Foa, Shambo, and Russell.
After that, if the Galu doesn't win immunity he will be gone, otherwise the other rougue Foa Foa will be. The final 4 will be Russell, Shambo, probably Nick, and either Jaison or Dave. At the final 4 vote I believe the other 3 will gang up and vote Russell out. Barring any insane moves before the final 4, it is at the final 4 where Russell will be the most vulnerable.

I think people are underestimating Natalie. She has the brains to oust Russel in a blindside.

I don't disagree with that, but I think Natalie and Russell have a very strong alliance that we really haven't seen much of. I think Russell, Natalie and Shambo are more likely to blindside Mick or Jaison before a group gets together to blindside Russell.
