I really am liking Boston Rob. I think he is handling his tribe members well - he has them working together and that's good. Though I think maybe taking out andrea instead of matt would have been smarter. Just because the guy shook some hands is no big deal. They need his strength. He may not have been as pissy and vindictive as andrea might be. And kristina played the II! so she could go at some point also. She would be smart to do some Boston Rob ass kissing now to get back into his good side.

I don't get why everyone was so hyper about Philip losing the challenge. They were doing well till it came to the locks and thats where it fell behind. Then Philip got them more even with the other team and it was down to one left. Any one of them could have missed that shot.

Because he was the last thing that they remember and the highest profile. There is no way I would have allowed myself to be put in that situation! Just law low and blend!

Speaking of blending....there was some guy last night that got about 10 seconds of airtime while at camp that I swear I had never even seen before. Some big long haired guy on Rob's tribe (IIRC).

I agree, but Rob was able to use Matt's "faux pas" in shaking the other team's hands as the reason, instead of pointing out the couple aspect. This way he could avoid cluing in others that might try a couples alliance.

I am liking Rob so far. He's showing that he's learned to adapt much better than the last time he played. I honestly don't think there's a better student of the game than Rob.

phillip is awesome the way coach is awesome.... just awesome to watch on tv, frustrating to live with

the crab hunting was funny on many levels...

    1. just the fact that he had to use a weapon (just go pick it up)
    2. the fact that he changed weapons
    3. the visual of him hunting crab, like it was a lion
    4. the play by play commentary
    5. the level of difficulty he was having actually catching the crab
    6. the size of the crab: was the juice worth the squeeze?
    7. his own description of the crab hunt
    8. the joy when he caught the crab... like when a survivor catches a fish for the first time, there is genuine sense of accomplishment, cuz it's difficult to do and it helps feed the tribe.. this is how he reacted.

I think Russell's three-way alliance is going to falter since the rest of the tribe knows about his HII clue hiding. I hope Ralph can keep his head when he's angry.

I do think it was a mistake for Ralph to confront Russell like that. I think he would be better served by laying low. If I were him I would just keep an eye on the spot where he found the idol; eventually someone, probably Russell, is going to be looking in that spot and is going to suspect that someone already has the idol. That would be the time to approach whomever comes looking first from a position of power, IMO.

And I don't think Russell will be the first from his tribe voted out.

I wish the Hillbilly was smart enough to make a fake idol and hide it for Russell to find. That would be awesome! :D

at the end, when "Fabio2" (thanks, Dalton!) arrived to greet Francesca on Redemption Island, was there a lit fire?

I finally had time to look it up. It was Pearl Islands. The first 6 voted off formed the Outkast Tribe, they competed in a challenge against the 2 other tribles. If the Outkast tribe won (they did), then the other two tribes each had to vote someone off and the Outkast tribe voted 2 of their members to return to the game and those 2 were given immunity at the next tribal. Lil was one that returned to the game and ended up in the final, losing to Sandra 6-1.

Honestly, I think Russell would figure out it is a fake. Russell, as annoying as he is, is at least smart enough to figure out if he found a fake idol. Doubt Russell's reaction to a fake idol would be calm or pleasant.

Unfortunately there's nothing on the island that could be a fake idol. The idols are intricate and elaborate. A rock isn't gonna fake anyone out.

Now here's what they should do. Hide some fake immunity idols, with a note saying "This is fake, but you may use it however you like".

Then the owner can give it away, re-hide it, etc.

Didn't you see the season where some guy made a fairly realistic idol?

I think he was a special agent for the CIA sent into countries to kill enemies of the US.

Didn't you see how he threw that spear and that rock? Ninja-like.

It wasn't realistic to me at all. It was a crudely carved piece of wood. The idols are usually very fine pieces of art.
