There is no way that Philip is a field agent, and I have my doubts that he has ever been in any of those services. First of all the guy brings it up WAY too much, as if he's trying to talk himself into believing it were all true and trying to convince everyone else. Every other sentence is, "When I was a Federal Agent", or "A Federal Agent does things THIS way". Second the guy talks WAY too much. There's no way a guy like that could keep any type of investigative secret.

Good season through two episodes. I'm not sure why everyone gravitates toward Rob, when they should be plotting to get him out. Only thing maybe they think he can help them in certain ways. But strange, for a guy who's supposed to be so good at challenges, this is two Survivors in a row where his team has not done real well in them

I think this time, the jig is up with Russell. His game is already not going the way it did the first two times. I think the tribe is more aware of him, and I'd be surprised if he makes it to the merge.

My wife and I watched the lantern very closely throughout the episode. I can't guarantee that it had a flame; it might have been electric. It did seem to flicker a little, but not a lot.

Probst was tweeting live (PST, so I read the transcript afterwards) and he confirmed that, not only was it flame, she wasn't prohibited from using it to start a fire...she just didn't figure that out...

But, how did it get lit in the first place? Or did someone from the staff just walk up and hand her a lit lantern?

It was the first thing that occurred to me as I was watching. USE THE LAMP!

Another episode where they don't show who voted for who. I guess it isn't hard to figure out but I wonder why they stopped showing that this season...

Someone walked up and lit it before she got there. There was definitely at least a producer and a camera person at Redemption Island.

Plus a sound person. I don't think anyone is ever truly alone for long on Survivor.

I'm curious as to at what point does the person left on redemption island get to join the game. I'm guess it will be right around the time when the jury forms. And I hope only one person is allowed back in the game. I don't really like the "twist" of allowing someone back after they've been voted off but I can live with it as long as it only happens once. Wasn't there another season where someone was let back in?

I have no idea why he would do that. I think she is just truly amazed by what he says.

She made the Coach comparison, too, while we were watching.

Cook Islands, I believe. The outcast tribe and one of them made it to the final.

Has anyone considered that Philip was a special IRS agent. I think it kinda goes along with the "special" designation as alluded to earlier.

I also think Russell will be the 1st one gone once they lose. Sure he outlasted Rob last time but he was still an unknown entity, he'll get a big dose of humble pie this time around.

Previously letting people who were voted out back in was a twist and a surprise and didn't go over well. They think it will work better if everyone knows up front that it's going to happen. I don't think it will have much of an effect on the game now, but the closer it gets to the end of the game the bigger deal it will be. Somebody may only have to win one duel to return where Francesca would have to get real lucky to return.

Philip is bat ***** crazy! I'll be glad when he is gone. Though admittedly I loved watching his tribe laugh at him while he was prancing around in his pink underwear trying to kill crabs. Priceless!

I'm rooting for Ralph, the hill billy. But, he probably shouldn't have confronted Russell. I just don't know that I would attempt that kind of confrontation. Sometimes it's not worth stirring the hornets nest. By the way, he's majorly furry..... shudder!! All that body hair is grossing me out! Good thing I like his personality! :)

I like Rob this season more than I have in the past. While he may go far enough in the game, I just don't think him... or Russell will win. They've had enough chances that I think the tribes will vote them both out before the end.

Great Irwin impression by Matt during that. Read Probst's blog and he said it went on much longer than what they showed us.

I think it's for when or if there's a surprise or a move made against someone, we won't know for sure who the catalyst was which will cause speculation as to who may have targeted the returning ousted player.

Do real "special agents" even call themselves "special agents"? I would bet not.

It seems like newbies are too dumb year after year, but those two gals should scheme to ride Russell's coat-tails until they can bump him. I think getting rid of him is smart, and being the one to do so might garner some votes from the jury.

I hope they don't blindly follow him.
