I did have to laugh this season when everybody talked about Russell....he is extremely loyal....as long as your WITH him. The 2nd YOU do something to break that trust....he becomes a viper. Just depends which side of the fence you are on.

I thought Jeff said Redemption Island was about them not knowing who will be coming back in to the game but if they are going to have people watch the Redemption challenges and report back then it won't be a surprise to any of them.

My guess is they will be observed up until the merge, then they won't know.

What is interesting is this is the first time that Russell has had his torch snuffed. It must be a strange feeling for him.

Is this the first time that Russell went to Tribal without the HII in his pocket?
When he could use it I mean. By the time they got to the later Tribals when you can't use it, he was safe simply because everybody else figured that nobody on the jury would vote for him.

In the first game I seem to remember he found it right away, and then kept finding again after he played it.

I don't remember the second game that well.

But Ralph came really close to going home with an idol in his pocket last night. It would be good if you could find an ally who can tell you if you're in danger. Like a secret ally who will know you're in trouble and warn you.

Perhaps but no one knows when the redemption island winner returns to the game.

I was kind of hoping to see that. I was wondering how that would work out. Would the idol still be valid and in play? If so, that means there would be no replacement idol for that tribe until after the surviving redemption island player returns to the main game. And, if he lost on RI, would he leave the II to the person who beat him?

Do you really WANT to get rid of Russell? He's been to the finals twice and not gotten a single vote. Seems to me he'd be the perfect person to get to the end with.

The thinking was that Russell would think he could beat Francesca and not be too concerened about going there. Seems kinda illogical.

    This was my thinking.

I really do like Russel and hope he makes a comeback.

Yeah, if you're Stephanie or the other chick.

Otherwise, with keeping Russell you have doubt, fear, stress, worry. And someone who is rude, unhelpful, etc.

Getting rid of Russell gives the 6 a stronger chance to stay the 6.

She looks like someone that used to Juice a lot when they were younger and can't fix what it did to her face. She looks like she could be stronger then just about everyone else there.

I think she looks pretty good. It's obvious she's going for the ripped look and has been pretty successful at it. A very fit woman for age 50.

And yeah, maybe a little juice at some point. ;)

I don't know about juicing or going for the ripped look, but she's a female firefighter so I'm sure she's been doing what she needs to do to meet the physical requirements of the job.

One thing I like about Rob is how he adjusts his gameplay. This episode he said that in the last game he largely ignored the hidden immunity idols and that burned him, so this time he's trying a different strategy. Russel didn't change anything.

I agree about Rob, but I don't think Russell even had a chance to change anything nor would any of the players allow him to. He did say that he hadn't ruined anything or hidden anything which is a change.
