I agree that he's getting the benefit of editing...he did admit later on that he didn't know why it got on his nerves and was sheepish about it...

Agreed. The "Slow Play" strategy might have been quite wise.

But what would have happened if he'd just acted "normal" the whole time? I still think that's the better way to go.

So you are too lazy to tolerate laziness? ;)

I agree that the tribe has not figured out reward challange/immunity challenge strategy yet, but this time it worked out for the best since for immunity they had to sit a man. If they would have let Courtney do the reward, she also would have had to do the immunity. I am not sure why they picked JR since he is tall and wide.

It's certainly possible that the producers told the tribes that a man would have to sit out the immunity challenge.

It is strange, though, that Courtney sat out the rewards challenge, though---I would think that as soon as she realized it wasn't a strength exercise, she should have insisted on competing in order to show her value to the tribe.

Jeff even emphasizes it verbally the second time: "*Again* you cannot sit out the same tribe members back to back so consider who you want to sit out this challenge..."
or something along those lines. If you look at it, it did seem like he was going "Hello..don't sit her out on this one...ok, whatever...."

I'm lounging right now. I'll think about it later. ;)

I don't get how you can be lazy on this show. Kiss of death. No need to be "gung ho super leader" but pitch in at least enough to not be labelled the lazy one.

    Here's a question:

Are they encouraged to wear skimpy stuff? I know it's hot. But even in the privacy of our backyard my wife isn't gardening in her underwear. I can't imagine she'd do it on prime time TV.

They had to lift a stick. By the end.

In her case, it was a strength exercise. :)

Some of those shots of Courtney are cute. Some make her look skanky like Christina Aguilera during her skank-period.

She's sort of like Elizabeth Hasselbeck.....who was very cute at the outset of her season but looked atrociously thin by the end:

Seems like all of the 'characters' are checking out early..
Chicken, Dave, Leslie all stood out as, well, stand outs, at least mildy interesting due to thier diverse philosophies. Makes for good TV. Seem to have a lot of ho hum right now- that's why a big love interest thing is coming up, maybe? If you can't shoot wierd, shoot sex, right? :p

+1 on the Erik Who the *ell is that double take last night.

Didn't they think they were getting to go into their bags again? I do not suppose they suspected that the game was starting right then with the clothes that they had on. But, anyone dumb enough not to wear a some decent gear just in case (like, a bra, for instance) oh well, I guess they figure the buffs gotta do.

BTW, are a bra and a bikini top all that different? My bra covers and supports more than my bikini. Maybe 'underwear' is a falacious distinction?? ;)

    You'd know better than I. :)

Are bikinis perhaps designed knowing they'll be used outdoors and with nothing else?

That might have them more durable. But coverage is probably about the same. My wife wouldn't be gardening in her bikini either I'm guessing. :p

I seem to recall that most of their outfits were just not suitable for the climate...they have no choice but be in their underwear...

I think the difference between a bikini and bras and panties is that bikinis are specifically designed to not become see-through...this is why Amanda, for example, is always covering her bra...

I think it's more likely that they don't know what the challenge will be, so they wear as little as possible. This way, they don't wear regular clothes and then have a mud wrestling competition, or a swimming challenge.

I would say she is sickly thin. I like thin women too, but Courtney is WAY beyond that.

Considering how much weight people lose on this show, it is weird they even cast her, unless they just wanted to see if she would become invisible.

I would say she is about as healthy as a woman of the same height who weighed 275lbs. She is really not in good shape.

Jorja Fox is someone who I consider too thin for my tastes, but I still consider her attractive (just not so much her face :)). Courtney - nah, my imagination just can't stretch that far.
