I'm pretty sure they did shoot it in the summer. Looks like they've had some pretty extreme temperature swings though.

I don't think Coach for one minute believes he's telling the truth. I think he's making himself out to be this bit Zen Master guy....the Dragon Slayer, because that's his "character" on the show. It's his strategy and his way to win. Convince these guys that they need to follow him. I think the reason he went out and won this challenge (which was tailor made for him, wife called he'd win right away) is because he KNEW he would be a target to get voted off this week. As much as I hate the guy, he's playing a great game. First he loses a lot of challenges to appear NOT to be a physical threat. Then he spouts all this bull to convince players that he has this power that will be beneficial for them all to follow. Then when it gets to the point where that isn't working any longer (there's some doubt), he wins a challenge and protects himself while trying to align himself with some preceived strong players. It's all very smart, and I believe he knows exactly what he's doing.

Also, why wouldn't these folks want to keep Sierra around? She's not threat to win this game. Who could she possibly beat at the end? She must really have gotten on their last nerves. To me, the play would have been to get rid of Debbie.

I don't know how much of a swing vote Erinn is. She's pretty tight with Stephen, and Stephen is tight with JT. If anything, I think Taj is the most likely member of their alliance to jump. At this point though, even if she jumps, that makes it 3-3. You need to go one more elimination before breaking up the alliance.

After the next elimination, you're left with the 4 alliance members, and either Debbie or Coach. At that point, maybe Erinn and Taj grab Debbie/Coach and try to get rid of JT. You know that nobody is beating JT at the final tribal, he's pretty much guaranteed the money. You have a much better shot up against Stephen.

Coach (didn't he invent the internet, while performing open heart surgery, while riding a Segway at 30,000 feet) has passed Johnny Fairplay as my most hated Survivor contestant. When he speaks I now use the acronym "STFU", Shut The F*** Up!!

I've lost track. Who has the immunity idol? And who knows that they have it?

The thing is, he is not just lying to the other players. In his one-on-one camera interview he is complaining that Sierra is not playing with honor (which implies that he believes he is playing with honor). What has Sierra done that is any less honorable than what Coach has done?

And does he have a name? I can't believe he's actually gotten everyone to refer to him as "Coach".

I work with people like Debbie. She was nasty to Sierra and wanted her to say 'Despite you guys bitching about me and trying to vote me off yesterday, you are the guys I trust'. Instead she said 'You voted for me. Why should I align with you guys? You are only 2 people.'

Deb HATED that Sierra called out her newly weakened position in the game.

Where does all he Sierra hate come from? While she has been mostly quiet on the show and don't see anything from her, we see more hate from the other players against her. What is the origin of that? I almost felt sorry for her.

I can't explain what he says on camera, but he does have a certain gleam in his eye that almost is as if he's winking at us. He doesn't like Sierra so whatever the reason, he knocks her. Being called Coach again is part of his strategy to try and gain respect and get people to follow him. Being a coach is a respected leadership position. It's like on Big Brother, the guy a few years ago called Cappy, because he was supposedly the Captain on a fire squad. And he had his leadership position before the first week was out.

I think it's because she didn't follow Coach like the other drones did from the beginning. Coach jumped on her for it, and that first perception was all that was needed.

Some of you are taking coach way too seriously and trying to play armchair psychologist about what he thinks and feels based on a heavily edited 45 minutes.

He's playing a game for a million bucks and he's doing it the way he thinks will win. Others, like Taj and Erinn, think the best way is to win is do nothing and blend into the background. That strategy has worked before. Stephen and JT have their own strategy. At the end we'll see whose strategy pays off, as we do every season. If everyone played the game and acted the same way Survivor would have been canceled for low ratings years ago.

But all of this drama about what coach is really like, what he really thinks etc... is as over the top as coach himself.

I don't see any comparison to Fairplay. Coach is an active member of the game trying to Win. Fairplay was just annoying with 1 single supremely funny event (dead g-mother).

Coach has been delivering all season. I believe he is trying to be loved and worshipped. He really thinks he has earned it. Coach wants to be the leader.

Fairplay has extreme relationship issues. He believes he isnt' good enough, so instead of even trying to get along he is offensive. If he 'controls' the hate, he has control. But really just a sad dude.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but one hidden immunity idol left the game with Brendan and the other was last seen in Stephen's pocket and him, JT, and Taj know he has it.

That's the one 'problem' I don't think I saw rectified. Taj actually found the HII, then gave it to Stephen to hide the fact they had it. Did she not ever take back possession of it??? I don't think she did, leaving the fact that Stephen has it. If that has not been rectified, that is an absolutely STUPID move on Taj's part (though I guess that wouldn't necessarily surprise me, either).

As far as we've been told/shown Stephen still has it. I guess Taj thinks she can just ask for it when she wants it and Stephen will give it to her. I wouldn't think that way myself. :)

It sure did seem like the whole group picked on her from day one when they thought they voted her out before she ever spoke a word. I guess she is getting a very positive edit and must really grate on everyone's nerves.

I don't think I've felt sorrier for any other Survivor. Sierra was sick when they started. they seem forget they were the ones that choose her as the person not making the journy with them. Unless she's done something they haven't shown I don't get the hate for her.
