Yup, big mistake. Young-ins are a bit cocky.

I thought that ramp game might have caused some tension among them, but it seems they correctly left it with the game. Brenda was being awfully pissy, and Purp Kelly joined in.

There really wasn't anything Marty could do to save Jill. You can't fault him for agreeing to a deal with Sash that sent Jill home, since Jill was going home no matter what Marty did. At that point, all Marty could do was make a gamble to try and improve his own standing in the game. The flipside of that gamble was that it left him unprotected and if the tribe had chosen to, it could have voted him out instead of Jill. So basically, what he did was the best thing he could have done for Jill, short of simply quitting or asking the tribe to vote for him.

There's no question that it will be a long shot for Marty to stay in much longer. As it currently stands, there are 12 players left in the game, and only four of them are from the former oldies tribe. And of those four, Jane has been accepted into her tribe pretty well, Holly has been accepted into her tribe, and Dan is completely worthless and only being kept around for that very reason.

But there's no guarantee that all the youngsters are going to band together and vote as a block. If anyone left in the game is smart enough to sense a rift in the yougsters and try to exploit it, or even just to get in good with those on one side of the rift, it's Marty.

As others said the math in the OP is completely off and the vote would be 3-3 and whoever Jill votes for so Marty is still in trouble. Marty should have never done the deal as you never know what will happen between this and the next tribal you visit (keyword is you visit, what if they go on an immunity streak and win 3 IC in a row?). What he did was put a lot of faith into the "enemy" as they have all the power on how they wanted it to play out with you just wishing it works out for you, at least with the HII you have some power.

    Agreed.

I was just saying he basically had several ways to get rid of Jill. The one he picked was just as "loyal" as the others, unless he became a martyr and went home so she could stay.

    Bingo.

Besides, if it is anything like previous seasons then the HII gets rehidden. Use it to guarantee your safe this week, then hope that it gets rehidden and maybe you can find it. If you give it to Sash, then not only do you not have it but then it is not rehidden to be found again.

Makes me think of an old phrase my grandfather used....

    "There's a ****** in the woodpile."

I don't want to sound racist, but that move is a reason stereotypes still exist, IMO.

I think that is the first time we've eve seen an interview with Purple Kelly.

I find it funny how they still call her Purple Kelly even when the other Kelly is out of the game now. :)

Except don't let her open her mouth. Milk her own milk...Ugh...and Fabio is not only honest, while everyone else would never admit peeing in the pool if they did, but he is intelligent, yet so casual he doesn't find fault like others and comes across as the dumb surfer type.

That's a perfectly acceptable sentence for a word that is both a verb and a noun, IMO.

Acceptable in grammar, but never used in that context. It is why she used it as she is clueless, since she either didn't know or was afraid to say milk the cow.

Not clueless - she knew as soon as she said it that it was "wrong". Still - she's cute, so I'm giving her a pass.

...and not really fair to judge her intelligence based on the 45 seconds of airtime she's had so far this season. ;)

Am I remembering things incorrectly or did Jill really figure out the location of the hidden immunity idol and then told Marty where to dig? I remember he kept it and never really seemed to thank her for what she did. I might be wrong about all this though.

Purple Kelly has only had 45 seconds of air time because she doesn't have anything to say. Brenda gets tons of airtime (well, she it hotter, too, IMO). But Jane gets more airtime than PK. I don't think the producers actually think the male 18-49 demo prefers looking at Jane over PK. Is Purple Kelly's absence of proof really proof of absence (regarding her brain - she obviously has other nice assets)? I'd like to learn some more about her.

Jane is an extremely annoying person.

-Not as bad as Tatonka....but still like fingernails on a chalkboard.
