Well, that was unexpected. I guess I now understand why Dan hadn't weighed in after the blow-up earlier this season.

Also, I hate to see Elaine go. She was fun to watch. I'm pulling for Janet, but I doubt she'll make it.

    Last episode coming up!

It didn't involve a player? Does that mean it was related to a cameraperson or producer on site? Or maybe something was relayed to them about Dan from stateside that they couldn't ignore? But I don't think we've seen any news come out since the end of the season about him being involved in a lawsuit or similar.

They didn't show any night video from after the vote which is weird since that was kind of a big vote, even if it was one of the few which went down more-or-less as planned. Could it have been something that happened then?

    Pretty crazy.

Regarding Jeff's comments... no way they'll ever say anything about it. Talk about a legal quagmire. But I'd be surprised if we don't learn something about it before too long.

When the episode kept going after tribal I knew something big was about to happen. My heart was actually pounding when Jeff showed up at their camp. I had no idea what he was about to tell them. The last thing on my mind was that it was yet another Dan incident, since he had skated by for so long after the last one, and they hadn't shown any inappropriate behavior since.
Jeff is being extremely tight lipped about the whole situation. I'm guessing he has been told to tread lightly due to possible legal ramifications. Although it's unfair to the players who were aligned with him, I'm happy that Dan is no longer in the game. Now that he's not even on the jury, we won't have to deal with him in any way shape or form in the finale.

I'm glad Dan is gone. I'm glad that Kellee won't have to deal with him at Ponderosa. I'm glad we won't see his smirking face on the TV screen again. I still think he looks like Harvey Weinstein and acts like him, too. I'm bummed that he wasn't removed before tribal so that they wouldn't have voted out Elaine. I'm really bummed that he wasn't removed before Kellee was voted out. This would have been a very different season if production had done their jobs earlier and removed Dan when he kept touching Kellee.

This is the part that bothered me, that he was removed when he allegedly touched a production member, but cautioned when it came to Kellee and the others. Do you think they offered to remove Dan to Kellee and she declined while the production member did not?

No, I don't think Kellee was given the option to have Dan removed. And I don't think it should have been a decision left to Kellee. I still think Production should have removed Dan after he kept touching Kellee after she asked him not to touch her. Production saw it, they knew what Dan was doing, and yet they left him in the game with just a warning. Dan then proceeded to help get Kellee voted out. And he celebrated it when the votes were read. That just sucks.

Yeah....While it was good that Dan was removed, it should have happened after Kellee's incident. Shame on Survivor and CBS to not have done it then. I love the show, but this season now has an asterisk for me and is at the bottom of my list.

Silver lining, if there is one, on Know it Alls with Rob Cesternino and Stephen Fishbach, Stephen did not that the cast of S40 was given very strong warnings before S40 filming began.

Definitely. If I were a player (I'd be the "old guy" that they are planning to vote out early) I would really be troubled that when it happens to a player it's within the framework of the game, albeit with a caution after 3 weeks, but when it happens to staff it's an incident. I imagine they will frame it that since the new incident happened after he was cautioned that Dan forced their hand, but that would be BS.

I wonder how much more footage they have of him doing things that they chose not to show in the Kellee episode knowing he was eventually removed and they could have a lawsuit on their hands?

Although I was surprised at last nights episode and the ‘Dan’ issue, after further thought I think Dan should have taken himself out of the game when this all blew up a few episodes ago. With today’s “me too” movement and the overly sensitive nature of responses, he should have knows that his ‘touch feely ‘ nature would have put a target on his back.

Frankly from the videos I’ve seen I didn’t see anything that was horrible, and in different times wouldn’t have been an issue at all. That’s not to excuse his actions as he should be aware that these days are very different from previous ones.

Dan doesn't have the self-awareness to know he did anything wrong, much less take himself out of the game for it.

i'm beginning to believe it's more an issue of self-control, and that he's fully aware - there's only so many innocent "accidents" that can happen in such a short time.

Man, I love Elaine and am super sad to see her out of the game.

Janet is the person we ALL need looking out for us and telling us everything will be ok. Elaine's tribal discussion was so raw and authentic it even got gamebot Missy crying. I hope Elaine is able to come out of this season with a little luck going her way for once.
