Agreed. But as it turned out, I'm not sure Michelle's bony frame would have been much more help than Gillian in the boulder-rolling challenge. :p

Cool! I thought this was interesting:
The video at the bottom of the page is pretty good, too.

LOL, I caught that too. They kept blurring her breast also. They need to ease off all this blurring. :D

I am so so glad this show is finally in HD . It looked great, except maybe for tribal council, which looked like a studio set in HD because of the lighting.

Or maybe they could have Survivor: After Dark.

That's so when they have the final two and they go back to L.A., they can switch to the studio and it will appear seamless.

I told that to my wife too. From the minute I left my house to go meet with the survivor crew(travel to location etc etc) I'd be wearing smart clothing. Zip off pants. at least 2 shirts(one long sleeved). A hat etc.

It's not like this is the first season. Anyone who plays now has somewhat of an expectation of what's going to happen.

    A) The producers do a masterful job of playing the contestants' expectations.

    B) The contestants are all complete idiots.

    C) All of the above.

There is no "None of the above." :D

My take on Crystal and the first challenge was (a) she's not in the shape she was in when she was competing and (b) since Gillian was such a load anyway, some of Crystal's "trouble" with the challenge was more deception than real trouble, as she even stated she wasn't going to come right out with the fact that she was an Olympic Gold Medalist runner. It became apparent early in that challenge that her tribe was doomed anyway, so I don't think she pushed it much as part of her strategy.

What kind of oversensitive knobs are there in the Fang tribe that they get rid of Michelle before Gillian???? They get rid of Gillian first and they may not be at tribal council the next time. Sure she's slight but she HAD to be more helpful in the Big Balls challenge than Gillian just running along beside them trying to stay out of the way. She did make it up that hill pretty well in that first challenge. I can't think of any reason it was more right to get rid of her first over Gillian - not if your goal is to win challenges and advance in the game. And I don't think her comments were so out of line when the first three people on the tribe went the way it did. Picking Susie just because she was another mom??? Kind of clueless.

I went back and looked again and didn't see it - did they not show Michelle's exit interview voiced over the voting reveal? I suppose that may be on the web site, but I was looking forward to hearing what she had to say about it.

I was also kind of curious where the girls got the boys-style underwear - seemed kind of weird.

And I'm sorry, but I've already seen WAY, WAY, WAY too much of Charlie's creaming over Marcus. Charlie can't be gone soon enough in my book.

I was a little worried after Michelle's early exit that this would be another season where they eye-candy is all gone way to soon. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

Is Jeff really getting more involved in things than he has in the past, or are we just seeing more of it now than they showed before?

Looking forward to TAR tonight, but I'm SO glad Survivor is back! And I'm loving the wildlife scenes even though I'm sure none of them are anywhere near where the contestants are.

That link doesn't work. You have to start off at the video page, then navigate to the clip you want.

After watching the show, I had a vague sense of why people wouldn't want to spend another second in Michelle's company, even if it meant keeping Gillian tied around their necks for another three days. After watching that exit interview, I have a much stronger sense.
