Impressive bio, thanks for the link - I still wanted to see her blow out of the blocks and then the looks on the guys faces. Then again, maybe not such a good idea :)

Okay this is killing me, who does Dan look like? It seems that he looks like another reality show player.

    Hilarious.

I thought the bench that Bob built was pretty cool.
That team is living the life right now. It will be nice to see how quickly they turn on each other once they lose a challenge. (IF that ever happens).

I keep thinking he looks like Jennifer Garner's best friend (the one who played a chef on another show a couple of yrs back) on Alias. I can't remember the actor's name

One disturbing trend I'm noticing on reality shows (and this is the first time I noticed it on Survivor) is that at the commercial break, they are showing coming attractions to what will happen next. It RUINS the surprise of what we will see. The absolute WORST at doing this is Don't Forget the Lyrics, where they essentially show you that the contestant makes it to the next round or two, or they show a different contestant, showing that the current one bombs out. I never watch that show live so I can skip through the coming attractions. Anyway, I noticed Suvivor doing it the first hour, but not the second, so hopefully that was a one time thing and it was used to try and hook newcomers.

I'm not sure the clothing exists that I want to live in for 30 days. ;)

I agree with Randy being annoying. He doesn't seem to like people at all, which is strange considering he's put himself into a social game.

She was right, and I agree with others that Gillian should have been the first to go, but Michelle should realize that bitching does nothing for herself or the tribe. Morale is a big part of it too, and if you have someone constantly telling you that you are losers... well, I think she's just as culpable as anyone that the tribe was losing.

Edit: I stand corrected, it was the 4x400....Thank You
Even more reason now for me to believe she was playing a little possum early.

Great point, didn't think of it that way. But, if she helps them win the next challenge, winning is the best cure all to bring them together more as a tribe.

The last time they dropped the players into the game in whatever they were wearing, I thought the smart thing would be to get clothes from one of those travel-wear catalogs (They have light weight separates that dry quickly, pants that can convert to shorts, etc), set up a wardrobe that would be the most useful, and wear it from the time you leave your house. (I'm not saying wear the same thing all the time, just pack what will be useful. Forget those silly dresses!)

A woman could easily get away with a sports bra, tee-shirt and tank top with convertable pants, top it all off with a jacket and not look like she's overdressing. A man might have a bit more trouble layering, but it could be done.

it actually happened once...a tribe lost every single challenge that at the end, I think they were playing 9 against 1 or 2 (I believe that was Stephanie that was left)...

so the short answer is: No...they keep on going no matter how pathetic one tribe is :D

i'm convinced it's something...to make him stand out etc. he could just keep it in his pants. And whatever brand suit that is, if it makes it all these weeks and he advertises it he should get lifetime supply!

Pretty darned entertaining start. I love the HD and just as I feared, the bug bites look awful in HD! This is gonna be fun. And the scenery is awesome.

Hopefully they will mix up the tribes soon. I hated the season where the one team never won and it got down to just Stephanie. I liked Stephanie, but I hated how that happened.

I couldn't believe they started with shelters that just needed some roof and floor work. What was up with that? I love it when they have to pick a spot for their shelter and decide how to build it.

As always with the first episode or two, and last night was both, it is hard to tell who is going to be there for the long run.

If you are older, you better be demonstrably valuable either in camp or in challenges or you are gone. Bye Gillian.

If you are going to criticize others at tribal council, you better be so obviously valuable as to be safe from being voted out. (Even better if you have individual immunity) Bye Michelle.

I hope there will be a mixing of tribes sooner than later if the lopsided winning continues. Never fun to watch the challenges when the conclusion is so so so forgone.
