Good to see Phillip back as his entertaining self. And at least they made it APPEAR as if tribal could go either way. Unlike last week. I'm glad Stephanie is gone, she got on my nerves. I don't blame her for doing whatever she could at TC to save herself. Matt continues to rock It will be interesting to see when the merge is and at what point the RI survivor rejoins the game (assuming it only happens once).

When Steve(n?) confronted Stephanie all pissy about voting for him at tribal, she should have said "Which of your alliance SHOULD I have voted for, then?"

That's exactly what I was thinking! She had to vote for someone? And then to get all pissy about it. I don't like the guy at all. I don't really like anyone on that tribe

Maybe I should be paying more attention while I watch, but was this another pretty boring episode?

It was. Often you can tell by the editing which tribe is going to TC but it was even more obvious this week. It wasn't as obvious this week as last who was getting voted off, at least they had one guy openly trying to drum up support for Stephanie.

Grant getting his shirt ripped off was exciting. During that challenge I was thinking he must have played lacrosse or such in school, he was good at that.

Phillip's alliance of the specialist, the mentalist, and the assassin.

Watch out, he's using both lion and gorilla.

Kudos for her to realizing that he's a likable guy and can charm others as he charmed her. Many guys would be smitten and think with their little brain (see Parvati).

I was quite worried early when Phillip was acting normal and making sense (about the lazy girls in the tribe having a day spa). Then he came back (to lunacy) with a vengeance with his whole stealth team spiel. I am proud that he has dedicated his life (well actually 4 years and blah blah blah months/days) to serving the US.

To me she was more like a 12 year old who is mad that the boy she likes likes someone else. She sounded like a bad Taylor Swift song.

Glad Stephanie is finally gone. She should have been gone last week. I laughed when she told Matt her tribe is evil. Someone being mad at the tribe that voted them out? That is novel. Hey dummy, Matt is also mad at his tribe for voting him out. Hopefully the lawyer who thinks he is smart will be next.

So basically you want the people with personalities voted out and the boring people who aren't even playing the game to remain? That tribe will be about as compelling to watch as Steve Wright's NFL highlights.

Him finding Grant and Boston Rob looking at the clue may make it interesting. He may feel betrayed and blow the whistle on them as he did to franchesca and what's her name. I am thinking maybe, just maybe Boston Rob can calm him down and then maybe blindside him. But who knows.

I loved Boston Rob's comment when Phillip was grousing about the girls not working. "they are 19, 20 year old girls, of course they aren't doing anything" (or something of that nature).

Either I've been watching Survivor too long (since S1) or they have edited it way too poorly, but it's WAY too obvious who's going to tribal. And when a show gets too predictable, it gets boring. And this season started off really good and has gotten boring. Maybe there is more to Russell being there to liven things up, but I think between Rob and Philip it should still be entertaining. The problem is, most of the interesting people are on Rob's tribe. So I find the other tribe boring. Heck, I still don't know all their names by face.

Does anyone know what Phillip does now? It alwasy says "Former Federal Agent" under his name, but I think he said last night he only did that for four years, 11 months and 13 days or something like that. He must be late 40s/early 50s.

first off, it's "former federal agent?"

the question mark is key! :)

I think those 4 years he was talking about were his military service.
