Am I the only one who actually dislikes James? I know JR had a huge attitude and ego, but I am finding James to have just as much of an attitude. He acts like he is the only one who deserves the two IIs. I wish that Todd had realized that was the play he needed to make THIS time. James is now on the defensive and will be more likely to play the II. Assuming he wins at least one of the next 3 Immunity Challenges, he is on his way to the final 5.

Honestly I don't have anyone currently that I WANT to win. I have a few that I could stand winning (Frosti, Amanada, and maybe Courtney), but other than that, I don't like this group of Survivors.

Man, I would love to have watched the last several episodes with Jean Robert and seen his reaction as he realizes how out of touch he was with what was going on in the game. Glad to see him gone. For a guy who's supposed to be smart and good at strategy, he sure was dumb as a door nail when it came to how to play this game.

I don't know where this idea that a poker player must be a smart person comes from...

the only person who thought JR was smart was JR...pretty much the same goes for Jamie...

I took her saying that to mean the only two from their original tribe to bring their things, because didn't Jeff ask something tribe-related just before that?

If there is a god, James will go to the final two. I mean, I need my eye candy entertainment! Day-um. :D

If only they would completely blur courtney all the time. Gee, she looks awful. Started like a twig and now looks like kindling.

See above. Ick. Amanda is getting close to too thin. I think the thing about Courtney that also makes her hard to take is that she is just such a nasty beotch. All she does is complain and sit around on her bony ass.

and boy, is she a sore winner...all the nasty comments after she won the II...she has no class...while there's hardly any specific thing, I find myself disliking her very very much...

I was thinking this was the least bitchy she has been all season. I thought she was kinda nice this time around. She wasn't worried about getting kicked off, so she wasn't being defensive the whole time. She was right to wonder 'Why JR now?' She suggests it every week and keeps getting blown off.

    paraphrasing:

"I won, so I don't care who goes"

    " you can't vote for me -- did I mention I won? -- so don't bother me"

    "I won II...you all suck"

"do you know what winning II means? it means I don't have to listen to you"

    she is a total b*tch...

Wow, I don't remember anything like that. I might have to watch it again tonight and transcribe that part just to see, because I don't think she was acting like that at all (and I don't like her at all).

Just watched.. I have to say I was rooting for JR, since I am a poker player too. His poker references at T.C. were too stupid though, and I'm glad he's gone. We're rooting for James!

    And Amanda - Hot!
    Courtney - NOT!

It's at a point now where the only way James will play those idols is if he is told (either truthfully or as a bluff) that the team is going to vote for him next council in order to force him to play them. Otherwise he is in the catbird's seat.

After watching all the Survivor Seasons, with the exception of season 1, it seems the path to the final 2 is either 1) a rock-solid alliance (Rob and Amber, the "evil step-sisters", etc) or 2) fly under the radar (Sandra, the girl next door, or last season's winner). RARELY has arguably the best strategy player has ever one (Hatch in Season 1 being the exception). I also have noticed that when women form a team or alliance, it seldoms holds past a few episodes (too much back-biting and double-crossing, perhaps?)
If you were going to go on Survivor, best advice is to be laid back, not outspoken (almost boring milk-toast), NOT AN ENTERTAINING CHARACTER LIKE JR or Rupert from past seasons, not a jerk, and not a sexy bimbo. Quiet, shy, girl-next-door or "best buddy" guy.

Given this analysis, it seems like the cafeteria lady may be the odds-on favorite to "carry herself" into the final 2.

Todd had the perfect opportunity to get rid of James, but 2nd guessed himself and panicked.

I don't know about that - I remember Brian, the car salesman, ran the game start-to-finish and won; Tom, the fighter-pilot, also pretty-much dominated; I think Chris was pretty good, too.

You should also add Yul to that list. I think that there is an opportunity for a good player (strategically or physically) to win, they just have to not over power the other tribe members (like Rob C) of they may be kicked out.

I think the number of winners who have "coasted" to the win or gotten there by flying under the radar is fewer than those who essentially controlled their way there.

    I'd categorize them as follows:
    1. Richard Hatch - controlled
    2. Tina Wesson - coasted
    3. Ethan Zohn - controlled
    4. Vecepia Towery - coasted
    5. Brian Heidik - controlled
    6. Jenna Morasca - hybrid
    7. Sandra Diaz-Twine - coasted
    8. Amber Brkich - hybrid
    9. Chris Daugherty - controlled
    10. Tom Westman - controlled
    11. Danni Boatwright - hybrid
    12. Aras Baskausaks - controlled
    13. Yul Kwon - controlled
    14. Earl Cole - controlled

There are a couple of finishes that I don't remember the specifics of, but I only remember being truly angry that Tina, Vecepia, and Sandra won. I don't remember the specifics of how Jenna won, other than the fact that the female tribe was pretty strong, and the best player, Rob C. got stupid. I don't think Jenna coasted, though. Amber won All-Stars by virtue of her strong alliance with Rob M., so while it wasn't totally on merit, it was partially due to her skills/strategy and not just by default. I don't remember how Danni got to the finals either, but I do remember being glad that she won (maybe just because I thought she was hot).

Does anyone know if there is any kind of "unblurring" software available that would restore Amanda's butt shots to thier original glory? You know, kind of like the technique Interpol used to unswirl those pics of the pedophile dude?

I also like the interview shots with Amanda when she wears her glasses. Gives her a kind of sexy jungle librarian look. And that's hot.

I don't think you're going to have any luck unblurring Amanda's butt.

But I do agree that she looks hot with those glasses on.
